    ISO: B8 A4 Sport Package Specs/Details

    I have an Audi B8 A4 premium plus with sport package. I would like to lower it a bit but I have a few questions. Just to clarify I'm very new to the "Euro" car world and know very little about suspension. Ultimately I'm looking for advice and information on lowering my car.

    As mentioned in the title, I have a 2013 A4 B8 Quattro with standard 17" wheels. I would like to lower it but I'm not sure where to begin. I don't want to scrape the ground or compromise ride quality (to the point it's stiff as a horse carriage). Also, no tire/body contact (rubbing). I will be going to a larger wheel - 18" or 19" but no bigger (likely 18").

    Any help/feedback would be greatly appreciated. Does this car have coil-overs or is it a shock/spring setup? I had heard I can simply replace the springs to lower it (which implies it is not coil-overs) but I'm not certain..

    Like I said - any help/input/details on lowering would be greatly appreciated. I would also love a general/brief rundown on the type/specs of the suspension on this car.

    Recommendations/Advice Needed:
    * Wheel Size (what are the advantages/dis's over 17's/18's/19's, etc.)
    * "Lowering" Springs or do I need Coil-Overs?
    * Suspension Geometry Changes

    Welcome! Do you have pictures of the exterior and interior that you can post? I ask because the sport package comes with 18 inch wheels from the factory (along with a 3 spoke wheel, sport seats, and suspension 30mm lower than a standard car). It should be clear visually whether or not your car has that.

    My car has the sports package:

    As for your questions:

    1. 17s look too small, 18s look good if they're the right style, and 19s are the "correct" diameter for the size of the car; they look good proportionally. Check out the wheel and tire thread in the stickies and you'll learn a ton about what diameter, width, and offset will suit your tastes.

    2. I ran just Eibach Pro Kit springs on my last car and I was happy with the height. Picture below. You can get away with just springs for about 10k miles if you don't also replace the shocks, which will start to fail because they're always compressed with the lower spring. The B12 Pro Kit rides at the same height, is highly regarded and comes with a matched set. Solo-Werks coilovers are even cheaper than the B12 kit, though, so that may be the best move.

    3. Nothing to worry about here, people can go crazy low but you generally don't need adjustable control arms and from what I've read they're more trouble than they're worth.

    Hey there,

    Im currently on a set of H&R OE Sport Springs
    Been on them for a few thousand miles so far. Hoping my shocks dont give out as soon, as the OE Sport springs arent as aggressive as others.
    Overall though, I think most folks run H&R or Eibach
