How does the "lifetime" warranty exactly work?

    IE
If i install a full kit myself and say, my tie rod is shot in 1 year, what happens?

Pay for a new one and then you get store credit depending on how long the product lasted

I buy a lot of my stuff from FCP, so store credit is not a bad deal at all. For me, at least. But from personal experience, FCP has great customer service. That's what matters when it comes to dealing with things such as warranty claims.

We would gladly warranty the tie rod for you in that situation.

All replacement parts sold by FCP are backed by an industry-leading comprehensive, lifetime parts warranty.

    Your welcome!

People need to see posts like that to know what companies to trust and ones that will leave you hanging (been there with other AZ vendors before). When we pay for an item, we expect it to do as advertised and expect all things in return as advertised if ever an issue arises. We pay our hard earned dollars for a service (buying parts, in your case), and common decency should be to treat the people who keep your company growing, food on your table, income for your workers, etc with a little bit of respect. Not much to ask. And from personal experience, your company handled my one and only issue very well. No hassle, replacement shipped out asap, and told me to just keep the old one (no return that I would have had to pay for, waiting for it to get there, inspection of said defective part, waiting for results of inspection and taking next step, or shipping for replacement. actually handled via PM on here with pics of defective part). That not only saved me down time, but much aggravation. That same part is on my car till this day. So...Thank You!

I agree with that 100 percent. I'm glad everything went smooth with getting the replacement shipped out to you.

If there's anything I can help with in the future please feel free to email me at [email protected]

I don't think this could have came at a better time...

Also, the Control arm kit for b5 chassis, $259-$30= $229. Says $219 on the group buy page!

Doesn't your lifetime warranty require installation by an ASE-certified tech?
I had given up hope that my control arms were covered since I installed them myself...

I bought and installed the b5 13pc kit. I am particularly interested in how long all the parts carry the warranty.

And for the record I bought from fcp because of the customer service reputation. Customer service is high my list when deciding to purchase anything.

For what it's worth, I bought the full kit from FCP several years ago. I was a bit dubious about quality, but this was the kit I could afford. I've had the parts on my '01 for almost 45K miles now and had no issues.

I just wish the kit for an allroad was more affordable, I'd be all over that.

At one time we did have it setup that way but now all of our parts are warrantied regardless who they're installed by. We felt this makes more sense since a lot of our customer do their own wrenching and we didn't want to exclude those customers.

    Hi Dave,

Would it be possible to get a deal on a kit that includes just:
    -upper control arms (S4 upgrades)
    -lower control arms
    -all related hardware

(Basically, I'm already set for tie-rods and end-links). Any discount code for purchasing those separately?

I have them back in stock. I would need your VIN because there's a split for the 2004 model year.

I actually only require the same deal. Running your full tie rods that I replaced a couple years ago. And I am running non-OEM style sway bar links. Can I get a deal too?

Here's a good question: How often do you guys have warranty claims for your "FCP Brand" CA/TRE kit?

The warranty claims on these kits are relatively low and at about the same level of some of the name brand kits we have listed on FCP Euro. As you already know even the name brand control arms will have a return history so we use that to benchmark. If we have a continued issue with a product we will remove it from our site and provide a better quality option. In this case we haven't had any notable quality concerns for the several years that we've been selling them for plus updates have been made along the way to further improve upon the FCP control arm kits we offer.

Everything we sell has a lifetime warranty that we stand behind in the unlikely event that an issue arises.
