Time for new tires, what to buy B8 S4

I currently have Hankook Ventus V12s in 255/35/19. Performance is pretty good, ride is tolerable, wet traction is great! Very predictable tire.

However, now I'm in the market for new tires, as these are bald. Are the V12 Evo2 just as good as the originals? Or should I look at something else?

I'm currently looking at the following:

Conti ExtremeContact DW (Max Perf Summer)
Conti ExtermeContact DWS 06 (UHP All Season) <- seems to have higher ratings across the board, but weary because it's an all season (are the tirerack results only relative to other all seasons?)
Hankook Ventus V12 Evo2 (Max Perf Summer)
    Bridgestone S-04 (Max Perf Summer)

I'm also looking at the Michelin PSS, but I'm not sure it's worth the extra $50 in price per tire. Are there any other tires that I should be looking at?

For your needs, I would say Conti DW is a good choice. This tire has good reviews when it comes to wet and dry traction.

Thanks! Would you say DW is better than the all season DWS?

miztahsparklez, It all depends on your needs and driving conditions. If you are not going to be driving in the snow, then the DWS is not necessary. The "DW" is an acronym for DRY/WET, and "DWS" is DRY/WET/SNOW. Personally, the Hankooks are the way to go. A great all-around tire at a great price point. Let me know if you have any questions!

Sounds good. I'm giving the DWS for a try. So far so good. Wet grip is amazing. I'd say wet grip is better than dry almost!

Haven't been around the twisties yet, so I'm not sure how good the turning is on these. Straight line isn't bad though. For reference, I have gotten the traction control light to turn on in the dry during a turn, so I'm not sure if these break away a little earlier than what I'm used to. I definitely didn't feel it slip, but maybe there was a little that the car noticed. I have full struts/sways/springs/AK.
