    What's up boys and girls, the busy landscaping season has kept me off the boards for a while, but today I have a question. I saw an 08 RS4 convertible at a local dealer. They want 39k, car looks clean(will look first) 50k on the clock. what do you think would be a reasonable cash offer? it would be a sister car to my hardtop. I would love to have a set. Thoughts?

    Color combo? Any recent maintenance? Depending on that you could always throw in new brakes tires etc in the deal..

    I know there's a Misano with half those miles going for around that same price tag-- I haven't looked on autotrader recently but 34-37k seems reasonable...

    I test drove this car when I was shopping for my RS4 Cab. This was when the owner was trying to sell it privately. I will try to see if I can dig up his number. He did say he serviced it at Audi in Burlington so you may be able to get some service records. I know he was trying to get $36k through private sale so I am sure the dealer gave him even less.

    There's an Imola Yellow RS4 cab for sale locally to me with 16k miles on it - not my car but I've seen it in person on several occasions and it is in excellent condition and has some nice upgrades already -

    Thanks, dealer says they did new brakes, we'll see when I get there, D. grey, same as my car, it's why I want the set.

    This is a friends car. Seen regularly and been in it a few times - great shape and well taken care of. If you decide you are open to Imola you aren't going to find another RS4 Cab in better shape.

    OP... I sent you a PM with previous owners email address. There was also a Misano Red RS4 Convertible on eBay with only 25,000 miles. It was listed for $22,500 or Best Offer two nights ago and I think it sold in 12 hours. Not my color preference but an absolutely steal. Hopefully the one you are looking at works out.

    The imola has had a lot of engine bay work done for only 15k on the odo. What's the story?

    No "story" as far as I know (I'm friends with the owner of the shop that does his work), just the side effects of being stored quite a bit and a current owner who is very particular about his car.

    Thanks to everyone for the "shout out" on the Imola cab...it's my car, and yes, not for much longer. Buyer is in Texas, and the car is tentatively scheduled to ship this Saturday. Buyer is surprisingly not a mod guy and really not familiar with any of the stuff on there (contact came through my Autotrader ad). That said, he asked that I leave as-is vs. partially parting out and discounting (had some hits for the wheel and exhaust). Hopefully he appreciates them in a few days!

    I also want to thank everyone for the help. I ended up finding a black on black cab with 9k mi, in Vermont. It arrives on Saturday.
