    Only SUV I may consider......

Ordered a 2017 Q7 today with March delivery expectation. Like the Volvo, Mercedes and Porsche but stuck with Audi. The damned thing was $84K optioned to my spec, though. Yes, I am a sucker and plan to pay $5K for the B&O audio. Was disappointed no Audi Exclusive colors available yet. Went with ink blue and pistachio beige valcona/alcantara interior. Happy wife, happy life.

My brother bought the Limited edition version of the XC-90, it's extremely nice. Just called me today saying he's putting down a deposit on the Pre release F-Pace Jag as well! If you buy it now you get every single option plus others that won't be available on the actual model run. All for $7K less than if you build the vehicle on the website. Only going to be released in Silver and the Killer Blue they make, he went with Blue!

I just built an F pace R sport for 58k.. not bad. Also, the local Jag dealer is only getting one of the launch editions you mentioned and it's spoken for.

we will be in the market for a new 7 passenger SUV next year, and the new XC90 is at the tops of the list. Wanted to like the Q7....but just can't get warmed up to it. Need to see it in person I think. Plus, I think the XC90 will be less $ for more car.

    two things:
    1. before i saw the XC90 I was telling the wife (it would be her car) to look at the MDX. Good looking, Honda based, proven not crazy $$$. Her issue is there are just too many of them on the road. She wants more of a sleeper (we have a Mazda CX-9 now). so MDX was out.
    2. Then I saw the XC90 and I think it really is one of the best looking SUV's on the road.

Same thing at our local dealer, only one launch edition. It should be right at $70K not $58K?

I like the XC90 I was considering getting a first gen with the Yamaha bulletproof v8 but wanted to wait till the new ones came out. The 2nd gen looks great, but then again is should since Volvo milked the first generation design without much change for nearly a decade and a half.

Just so long as it doesnt have the transmission issues of the last forced induction T6 powertrain, this will likely be something I keep my eye on.

    Weve been enjoying it.
We had a mdx - what a boring, uninspired car.
Ar least you can tell volvo put some effort in design and finish in this redesign.
The ride is a bit firm so im glad we stuck with 20s and not 21s.
The sensus platform takes 1-2 days to get used to. Its essentially an ipad in its layout so its definitely familiar looking and easy to navigate.
Engine seems adequate so far. Dynamic mode has some pep, buts its a midlevel suv so wasnt expecting much.
All in all, its more fun and sportier than the mdx and, being an r design, isnt as common. Pretty happy overall.
