    APR stage 2 question

Everything I've seen on this site indicates all I need for stage 2 is a HFC. However talking with my local authorized APR dealer he says I have to buy the full down pipe, that changes the price from about 11 - $1,200 to $2,000 (according to the shop). Which is accurate?

If I can go HFC and anyone has done so in the DC metro area, can you recommend a shop

All you need is a HFC, pick your brand they run around $300, then what is the tune, $500? Not sure how you're getting to $1,200 from that but you definitely don't need the downpipe, and you don't need to use an APR branded pipe at all.

I had the same question before. All you need is the HFC and you can use your OEM catback.

APR dealers are instructed to instruct you on what conditions the stage 2 were designed to run in. Truth be told though, the tunes have shown time and time again to run without issues on just the HFC. The cat is the restrictive POS that needs to go to make the stage 2 efficient.

Install for the HFC could make up the extra $400..?
