Does anyone know how to remove the interior trim on the Audi A7/S7??

I know most of the panels pop out, But the center console and a few other parts I believe are more complicated. I don't want to break anything while removing. Any masters on here know how to get it all out safely, maybe a step by step or video of how? I am sure I am not the only one that has decided to switch their trims out on the S7 or A7.

    Thank you in advance !

yeah, to replace the center trim You have to take apart the whole center console + remove the aircon unit.. its really a pain in the a$$ :/

In front there are 6 screws that holds the trim, but to get to them, You have to remove the climate control, gear knob and all the stuff around.

At rear seats you have to remove the rear air ducts, beneath is there are 4 large bolts that holt the whole thing attached to the car. Remove these, and you can get the whole console out. And THEN you can unscrew the console trim part

some more info could be found here:

The link above is for a C6 and will not help you much. When I did mine, I used this http://www.audiworld.com/forums/a6-c...nsole-2875274/ and it is entirely feasible, if a little daunting.

the door panels just pop out. the dash piece requires removal of the glovebox to get all the undermount screws. the center console needs to be removed entirely. you will need to remove AC unit, MMI trim, rear AC vents and controls, armrest, and then the entire center console assembly. the top dash trim requires removal of the A pillars, and center speaker grill, and light sensor to get at all the hidden screws. honestly, it is a HUGE PITA. will take you all day, but its the only way to get the trim out.

Ok the above post showed me how to remove the door handle covers and the center console. Now what about the center trim and the wood trim strip on the upper dash?

    Thank you

Wow that was VERY hard to remove. But I got it all out. Literally everything had to come out of the car!
