    Restoring emblems and trim?

So, my car's appearance has been bugging me for awhile. It looks like it's 15 years old... I was looking more closely at my grille badge today and the "chrome" shiny stuff is all faded and starting to peel on the edges. The chrome on the doors is looking weathered as well.

Is there any easy way to restore these items? It's kinda hard for me to shell out 60 bucks on a new grille badge. I know someone's going to say if you can't afford 60 dollars maybe this isn't the car for you. Thanks in advance for the help

I think they make chrome style spray paint but I find it hard to believe it would turn out well, but maybe I'm wrong. I considered blacking the rings out or trying to black out the trim with vinyl or something but I'm not sure I'd like that in the end.

If it comes down to it I'll just replace it later but I'd rather just clean it up sooner.

I had almost the same issue with my grille badge, except the red on mine was faded. I went over it with red cf vinyl. Depending on how steady you are with your hands, you could sand and mask it out and use silver, or like a matte aluminum paint. Sometimes the small things have a big impact

Buy new ones. I started hoarding emblems for
my c4 s6 since they are 21 years old and are NLA
from normal vendors including the dealer. Buy them
from ECS and call it a day.

I saw a product that seems like it would work pretty good on Jay Lenos Garage. Not sure the cost but seems to work amazingly well.
