I did. Especially since that question was asked in a thread dedicated to a certain "high-demand" product that a lot of people are interested in... the "winky-face" kind of tells me there is going to be something, just not sure what yet...

Ha i just ordered the 628 for my Ibis (on sale now) couldn't believe it was 399 last year, at least 449 makes it better than 499 for a set of throway winters. The question now is deciding on tires WS80 in 245/40/18 or 225/45/18

And i think that wheel spin is a sham ..definitely should have won and it glitches and falls on try again all the time

At least I Rick Rolled one person!

You might be better off with LMs instead of WSs in NJ. I was on the fence between the two, and only went with WS80s because we got killed with snow last year. I opted for 225/45 since the skinnier tire helps in deep snow, and the taller sidewall helps absorb impacts.

Word or warning watch the "free shipping" everyone!

I just placed and order for 2 piece front rotors, Akebono pads and replacement bolts. All said eligible for free shipping and then at order completion got hit with $53 in shipping. Called them and Phil had to split my order to get it to go through correctly. So just a heads up at checkout!

Now the waiting begins!!

Agree on the skinnier 225 for deep snow traction and it's actually cheaper via tire rack 633$ vs 753$ for 245's. I was actually tossed between Dunlop Wintersport 3D's since I actually have them on my B5 for 3+ years now and performance wise they are great (wearing well also), especially the amount of snow we got last year. However, the WS80's seem to have better rating across the board (granted may wear faster than WinterSport 3D's) but at the price point, I'm okay.

On a side note for ECS, they also have the torque limiting and protecta sockets on sale as well, perfect for frequent winter/summer wheel swaps with your impact / torque wrenches

I just mounted the 627 with 225/45/18 WS80's on my sepang. Quite happy with how it looks.

The 225 WS80s are a great deal, especially versus wider "winter performance" tires. I was also surprised at how well the WS80s did in every category, and hoping they feel like an all-season tire on dry pavement.

I saw the ECS sockets, but might just Plastidip the one I already own. I did pick up a wheel hanger from ECS since that should make swapping easier.

Looks good. How do the WS80s feel on dry pavement?

I might put my set on this weekend, but the forecast is still looking pretty warm.

They are definitely a winter tire and are mushy if you push them and a little noisy due to the massive tread pattern, but that is to be expected w a studless ice and snow tire. They are very comfortable to drive on and got me around with no problems this past weekend when we got our foot of snow.
