Banging noise in trunk when going over sharp bumps - anyone found a fix?

Recently I've started to notice a banging/knocking noise from the trunk when going over sharp bumps. It's not a metallic bang, but more of a hollow knock. I have TTX Ohlins, so no, it's not the DRC. :) It sounds like it could possibly be the rear deck flapping slightly, or the cargo area cover acting like a giant drum and making a knocking noise.

I've added foam under the cargo cover and in between the styrofoam bits underneath, but that didn't seem to help. Before I continue to chase it down, I was curious if anyone has experienced this, and found a fix.

With my PSS9, I had a nut come lose at the top mount which also stretched the bolt. Similar sound but once recognized and replaced and loctite added it's totally gone.

Ok, I'll have the shop check for that when I'm getting a carbon clean next week. Fairly sure it's in the trunk, but it did start after I had the TTX's installed, so that's entirely possible. Thanks for the tip.

No problem, the sound drove me nuts, and I hope you will find it soon.

Check all the suspension mount points to make sure they're tight, maybe (including the upper shock mounts)? Something in the trunk bouncing around like the battery or something?

The TTX uses a different type of upper mount compared to other kits or stock shocks. It's less prone to this type of noise.

Check your endlinks and lower shock mounts.

The question is - was it worth it? If so, chill, and keep driving!

    Lol @ dead hookers. :)

I drove on a fairly rough road yesterday, and am fairly sure it's the suspension. The seats were folded down, and it was fairly obvious the noise wasn't coming from the trunk itself. The battery is tight, so it's not that. I even reached back and opened a rear door while driving to make sure it wasn't the door seals creaking.

The car is getting a carbon cleaning at 034 Motorsports on Thursday, so I'll ask them to check the suspension as well.
