Picked up a Maserati Ghibli SQ4 lease a few weeks back (silly deal to be had on these right now) and wanted to share my impressions.

First and foremost, it's a beautiful car and sounds amazing... But it doesn't come close to the RS in terms of driving experience and feedback. It's a nice compliment to the otherwise under the radar RS. The engine is solid, but I'm spoiled from our NA v8 which feels faster and obviously more responsive to me.

Here are a few pics from the dealership.

A friend owns one and I've driven it twice. I think I was impressed with the comfort, the options, the feel of the car around me...but I would agree that driving/handling was very different than the RS4. I think it's a decent vehicle for someone not wanting or needing the Quattroporte size and price tag but wants something different than an S6

Agree, but the 8 speed auto transmission fits the car well.

I drove my financial advisers' SQ4 and I found it dull to be honest, Maserati dropped the ball on this handsome vehicle. Bad things happen when performance/luxury companies try to bring an affordable "budget" friendly car to the table for the masses. My opinion of course....

My only problem with the car is that it sounds terrible. The exhaust sounds very unrefined.....cheap & raspy.

I saw that car on the street and thought it looked amazing. Never realized it was a 6 cylinder car.

Doesn't matter as it's only a matter of time until all cars are 6 bangers.

    Nice car.

The only thing the Maserati and the RS4 have in common appear to be the wheels!
