    MMI Nav Screen Goes fuzzy

    Hello everyone,
I've searched through some forums and couldn't find my exact situation. But on my 2006 Audi a4 Quattro, the Nav screen will occasionally go fuzzy and you cant see anything on the display. The radio and audio still work, just cant see the screen. I've noticed it seems to be more prominent when its raining out, and occasionally i can hit the flip out button, and flip it back in and then the screen will work again. Has anyone came across this problem? and if so what was the conclusion. I'm kinda getting the idea its a loose wire of some sort, but wouldn't know how to go about fixing it.

    Thanks in advance.

I believe there's a ribbon cable that goes bad on those.

Is there a way to replace that? Or do I need a whole new radio?

I'll try to get Mc Suly to chime in, he found place that sell the ribbon online and changed it on his last unit.

Really appreciate it. One more quick question, Do I need to remove the whole unit to reach the ribbon? Or is there a quick trick?

Just pull the entire unit out, if you've got the 4 radio tools it takes 2 seconds, then you can just detach the quad lock connector and gps/radio wires and have much better access.
    Drive On, Brother!

As Mitchell. said remove the unit, you'll need to take it apart anyways.
