A poor German elf named Klaus works in a dimly lit basement of Quattro GmbH (Audi's performance wing that handles their Exclusive products) hand stitching each floor mat at gunpoint. If he doesn't get enough orders to cover the expense of Dieselgate® for the whole rest of the VW/Audi Group he won't be able to go home and see his family, ever again.

So why doesn't everyone on this board pitch in together and buy one set of RS4 floor mats and help that poor little elf.

Leave it to the Audizine forums to focus on the one expensive product made by Quattro GbmH's Exclusive division How about a BBK 25% off instead....

You'd be surprised. Several sets of Quattro GmbH produced mats get sold a year. If you think of the relative cost between an RS4 overseas and $1k floor mats the price isn't as shocking as one might think. Same goes for the RS5 floor mats, those sell more often. Remember in parts of the world these cars sell for 2-3x what they cost in the US, plus anyone here fitting RS4 mats to their A4...

More importantly every time a set gets sold Klaus is one step closer to seeing his little elfins.

People need to remember that the RS4 is sold in markets where the car can top the equivalent of $150-200k USD. A $1k set of floor mats to accompany a $200k vehicle is not something people have issues with. I deal with people from every portion of the world on a daily basis, lots of Australian and Asian customers, who will purchase items like those floor mats, albeit infrequently. Should I remove expensive floor mats from the website because customers who are lucky enough to have access to lower cost A4 models in countries with low taxes on vehicle imports and purchases are offended by the pricing?

<soapbox>If you want to have a good fit over the pricing that you find are too expensive fire off a letter to Audi and/or Quattro GmbH. As people have discovered the aluminum pedal sets that Audi charges $500+ at dealerships for can be found on Amazon and elsewhere for $50 now. Probably get made in the same factory that Audi used the whole time, so what maybe $30-40 cost tops. If Audi hadn't marked those pedals up so much they would have been 1/3 or 1/4 of the price from the start. Audi is making margins that are so high on replacement items that many of you have purchased or have been charged for when repairing your car your head would spin and flames would shoot out of every hole in your body if you knew how much they were.</soapbox>

...and just to add this. Essentially every Audi part listed on Europrice is a genuine product sourced from Audi, hence some of the pricing is nowhere near aftermarket or manufacturer direct. I do prefer to provide the genuine items and because of how Audi tends to make huge margins on their items this can make pricing high. I do my best to source genuine Audi items that come from reputable suppliers and still pricing is high on some items. Just a small business trying to use my knowledge and expertise in this field to make a small margin so I can continue to offer product and develop/produce kits for the NA market that might not be found elsewhere.

I gotta say, I met Alex at Occupy Big Bear and he is a solid guy. I have pinged him a number of times with a ton of questions and he is always on point.
Get over the floor mats, although I think it is awesome to see at least someone has them available to purchase if you are in the market!! The flip side, I guess is I should beat up Audi and tell them they suck considering what they are asking for an RS7, especially if you look abroad... I mean it is just a car with 4 wheels... YMMV

Thanks guys! I know that price is a huge concern with everyone and especially with Amazon and every huge retailer offering constant coupon codes, free shipping, memberships, etc it's hard to buy from the little guy sometimes.

Europrice may not always have the best prices, but you'll get a ton of personal service, knowledge to back up the product and immediate support should there ever be an issue. I also try to work pricing down as low as possible by finding product from any reputable source that can supply genuine product in reasonable time frames. It's a tough proposition sometimes, how can anyone beat $50 for a pedal set when Audi charges nearly $300 for the same product and the only difference is it has little Audi rings and a part number on it?
