Audio Issue: Sound comes only from front center speaker (dash)

So I woke up, got into my car - 10 mi before empty. All is normal, I drive to the gas station, shut off the car, fill up....

When I get back into the car and start the ignition, the MMI boots up, Lithium comes on Sirius XM radio - but it sounds funny. I don't think much of it, I change the station, still sounds funny. Then I realized it would because I was not getting audio out of my door side speaker. I changed the fade and balance. The only speaker that works is the dash speaker. I have 23k miles on the car, it is under the warranty period but TD1. My local dealer Tom William's Porche Audi will not touch it with a ten foot poll unless I am paying cash at their hourly rate (Bit of an exaggeration there, but essentially the SA manager gets a littler irritable talking to me and obviously doesn't want to deal with the car).

Anyone else ever get this? I would think oh maybe a fuse - but then what caused it to pop? Any why would one fuse carry power from the MMI to all the speakers but one?

    (Concert system)

have you tried the regular radio as well?

TD1 is only voiding of powertrain warranty .. that can't stop them from working on your radio if it has a problem

    I have tried FM/ SAT/ and Bluetooth.

I understand TD1 is for powertrain only, however I don't even want to deal with my dealer if I do not have to - that is how much I dislike them. Another dealer replaced my driver rail for free, and charged me for the F22 oil pressure switch that when the car has a TSB out for it. I would consider a switch to be electronics, not powertrain. It would take 3 weeks to schedule out a loaner car if I needed one anyway. Short of driving my car back to Atlanta, I am looking for some input or if anyone has had this issue - if you could look at your records and see what was fixed or replaced I will know what needs to be done to it.

    Thanks!

Do all audio sources have this problem? Try the FM radio.

I think the center speaker only has the mono-signal which is derived from the difference of the Left and Right audio signal, so if the Sirius tuner is only putting out mono, then you would only hear the center speaker. I think the audio amp only has one input power fuse, so its all-or-nothing as far as a possible fuse issue.

while i havn't had the problem or have any ideas for you.. i would urge you if it comes down to it to light a fire under your dealer's ass even call AOA if you have to.. but do not.. pay for this out of pocket when you still have a warranty

I have called Audi of America regarding my f22 oil switch. They sent me in a circle back to the dealer. They would not even give me another department or legal's information.

    Update:

I called Tom Williams Audi Porche of Birmingham. A women who takes appointments essentially told me they had to see the car before they could tell me if they would warranty it. I asked to speak with an SA. She took my contact information and then told me she had a 2013 which she purchased in 2012 with audio issues. She told me they would not warranty her issues and it was unlikely mine would be warrantied either since I am the second owner. Now... I don't quite understand where all of that is coming from as I gave her my VIN and she should be able to see my car is still under the 50K/ 4 Year warranty... but... yeah - so now I am waiting on a call back from Miguel (well, that is the manager I have spoken to in the past and the only SA for Audi there I believe).

I will reset my MMi when I hop in the car next. Bye bye favorites!
