    Quick SAI question

    Hello everyone,

I was just curious to know... How long would it take for you to get the ''incorrect flow'' code pop up after you have removed the vacuum line running from the SAI to the combi valve? I did this and it has been 2 days with no code... Am i Lucky enough to have this already written out?

    ^^^^^ This

So far no code and it's been 3 days. I didn't think APR coded this out so I'm very confused but hey I won't complain. My friend needs a new SAI pump for her car so if I can get rid of mine and fix hers then it's a win win.

    Edit:

Sorry I didn't read your post correctly. She could tune hers but unfortunatly it's not worth it, She's only planning to keep the car for another year or so, she has 375,000km's!! I just want to help her out so she doesn't have the cel in her face all the time.

I tried! I went down to Montréal at Vag motorsports and the guy they had brought in to erase the sofware could not get into my file. He said APR did a good job at sealing it. So I spent a day driving for Ottawa to there..

You could probably use Torque for android paired with a bluetooth dongle to see if the readiness monitors have been defeated. I know with my kompresd ECU (removing this weekend for some Q&A) if I check the readiness monitors, I only have 4 and one is constantly at "Incomplete" due to the way he coded the ECU. Not sure how that will fly with emissions testing, but the SAI and EVAp monitors are greyed out and not testable.

That sounds interresting! I take a look at that. Hope you're good to pass etest! The good thing for me is I'm moving to New Brunswick in the spring and they don't do etests so i'm not worried at all.

What has the temperature in Ottawa been the last few days? If it is below zero you likely wont get an incorrect flow CEL as the SAI pump wont be running at start-up anyway. Or at least that has been my experience. Mine isn't coded out and never runs, since it's gotten colder I more rarely get the CEL for incorrect flow. I guess more appropriately, you say your not getting a CEL for incorrect flow since disconnecting the hose, but are you even hearing the pump running?
