What's the deal with these guys?

They used to be super helpful in finding parts now it seems like my money isn't good enough for them. Owner was super rude and hung up on me mid conversation.

Has anyone had a similar experience?

For anyone curious - im talking about the guys who part out Audi's on kjiji in the GTA. "tsh auto"

I have had a similar experience with them. Seemed like my inquiries and parts i was interested it wasn't worth his time. Also had some crazy price quotes from them.

Try Jason at German Auto. Might have what your looking for or could possibly get it.

You're not the only one. I've heard from quite a few people that he's a...well let's just say that his phone manners could use some improvement and it's a real challenge to deal with him over the phone. I've never been to the shop, but apparently it's easier to deal with the guy when you're there. I've called in asking about parts a few times, he likes to keep the conversation short. And when you ask things like "how bad is the rust?" he answers rudely with "I don't know, I'm not a body-man". I doubt I'll ever spend any money there.

The thing is that they have everything you need. You just have to go in there in person. I got what I was looking for. Could have been easier but you just have to go there and be stern lol.

Agreed, in person is the way to go about it. Found a starter for $80 and can't complain.

It's a closed shop. They disassemble cars in the shop, they also do work for people. No wandering Permitted. If you need work done, the shop rate is $80 an hour. Luckily, I have my own hoist.

Thanks .. so if they have zero phone presence , you have to drive over ask what they have and see if it is acceptable , then wait while they pull it off a car ?

I just use kijiji to figure out if they have what I need ahead of time. You can call, but it's essentially the soup nazi for Audi parts. Generally they have what you need off the car ahead of time. They strip them as they come in.

Just joined cause I found this thread (And others for this forum that have saved me a few times) - My Car is in TSH right now.. they are really great to deal with! When I bought my 1st '02 A4 I took it here to get checked out - he found tonnes of stuff wrong with it and made sure it got fixed, and billed the dealer... He made it really easy for me.

My 2nd A4, took it here before I bought it, and they told me the car was good.. Good sound advice as always, and straightforward. It's in for service now - just some minor things, Oil & Filter change, CEL for exhaust sensors, and some burned out lights...

I will never take my car anywhere else - price and service are really good and it's hard to find someone who knows their cars like this.. plus they virtually have an Audi graveyard.. And I need a new seat, and some miscl plastic parts / tow hook cover... it's all there all cheap.

I'm very happy w. dealing with them.

Yeah I agree w/msa1082. It's my go to place now. I was very sketched out at first but after a few repairs (replacement of steering rack, carbon clean out and vacuum pump seal leak and other misc jobs) I was convinced.. they are very knowledgeable and the price is right, no complaints there.

did they replace the vacuum pump seal or just replace the whole pump with a higher rev ?

Just go the there shop is great they do great service for reasonable price. But I'll agree there phone skills are nor the best.

Guy is very short on the phone I always feel like I'm bothering him. Prices are high but they have lots of good parts. He def needs better phone manners but his site does say NO PHONE CALLS.
I usually just ask him on kijiji if he has something but its a far drive I prefer to talk on the phone to confirm you still have the part before I drive out there or send a friend over they wanna know its there. Hire a damn secretary if you're too busy to chat

I wanted a S5 hood but they will only sell as a front end set for 4K.

Damn I better watch what I say or he's gonna say "NO PARTS FOR YOU!!" and close his door to me


Edit: he was able to remove component protection for me where the dealer tried and failed. Sold me a bunch of stuff and has a lot of good parts, he knows his way around Audis

I'm looking for S5 seats and sent a message to a Kijiji ad that I'm now thinking might be a TSH ad although I don't recall seeing their company name. Did I perhaps shoot myself in the foot by not going directly to TSH in person? I live about 2.5 hours away.

I have been going to TSH auto for about 8 years now. Their price, service and knowlwdge is excellent. The owner is much more calm now. Anything I need I go straight to them.
