    Angry Help!

Hey everyone, am relatively new to the audi world, bought a 2008 audi s6 a couple months ago. But recently my heater only blows warm when at low speeds and cold on the highway or interstate. I read around and figured maybe its air locked, so i tried to crack the reservoir and it started to let air out but all of a sudden coolant started coming out from under the passenger side. Any input would be greatly appreciated.

There is a plastic neck that gets easily broken in the area of the coolant, i would look there first and replace that part, it happened to me and all my coolant spilled out when removing the air filter boxes

What does your temp gauge do? It should raise to around the middle of the gauge and stay there. I'm thinking most likely its staying very low then going even farther down while your driving meaning the thermostat it stuck open or someone took it out, letting it cool 100% of the time. The reason you would get some heat while sitting still is that you have no air going across the radiator and the water pump isn't turning as fast as while your driving. You should be getting a P0128 and a CEL with this

Your guage would be doing crazy things if you had air in there and Im sure that it would work itself up to the reservoir if you've been driving around

Thanks for the replies everyone, Luis where is the t-stat located on the 5.2? And I'm pretty sure it all came out of the over flow tube.
Superman, my temp gauge is always a hair above normal running temp. And now my heater won't blow any hot air after losing fluid

My thermostat appears to be working, I think I'm going to flush the system this week and see where that gets me, how do I find the coolant capacity? I'm pretty sure it's vapor locked but can't for the life of me figure out how to get the air out

Is there a certain way to burp the 5.2? I've seen some that have a valve but I can't seem to find one
