yes, definitely glad you're doing OK. From your description, sounds like it was a T-Bone from the right side? Not your fault? The insurance should give you FMV. See if your attorney can get you even more! Don't take the 1st value they give you as they'll always low-ball the car's value.

I'm ok just pissed about my car. Thanks! Here is the damage. Oil pan was hit on the curb and drained out all of the oil. The mechanic JB welded the leak and put oil (really ghetto fix) and said it was knocking when he started it. He also said it felt like the engine looked like it was going to "jump out". I assume he meant it was rocking and I would like to think it's just the motor mount, as the cost of a new engine will total the value of the car.

I would be surprised if there isn't frame damage behind that fender and bumper. Audi designed these cars to absorb impact, and once they have they are usually salvage or totaled. If i'm not imagining things, the motor mounts and cross-member are supposed to fail and allow the engine and trans to drop down to the ground and slide under the driver in the case of a head-on collision so that huge V8 does not crush your legs and torso.

    Safety first!

The car is totaled!!! Next question now, Should I buy it back and part it out? It has magnaflow exhaust, carbonio hot air intake, silver alcantara rears are 9.5/10, fronts are 7/10.

Well I guess that depends on how much insurance will pay you for the car VS how much you think you can make by parting out.

If insurance will pay out anywhere near what your part out value is, I'd recommend taking their money. Parting out can take a long time and you may not end up with the amount of money you would have had if you took your insurance money on the total.

Figure out what the buy back value is. Can you afford to sit on that money? It might take a while to make that money back. Depends if it's a DD or not.

and think about what you can realistically get out of it. You'll probably want to price items slightly under market to move them quicker.

I have to admit this is freaking me out. The car just doesn't look that bad. OPs experience (really sorry for your misfortune) along with what arrogntbastrd06 is saying about the collapsible front end, means one solid hit and your car is gone. Throw in the insurance grenade to go with the timing component grenade.
