    Small oil leak

So it doesn't always seem to leak, I cannot pinpoint what will cause it... but its 20*f here today and I just went on a spirited ride and upon returning I noticed this.

If you look at the oil pan, on the passenger side of the car, there is an oil line (a return perhaps?). It seems to be soaked and oil, and slowly dripping.

I've also noticed that I can smell burning oil on the turbo/exhaust/manifolds from somewhere. Presumably the top of this line in question?

Nobody knows what the part I'm referring to is, and why it might be leaking and how to fix it?

Pretty sure you are describing the oil return line from the turbo. If the line itself is wet, the leak is from the turbo side of things, possibly just the gasket that connects the return to the turbo. If it is just leaking on the oil pan around the oil return line then its most likely that gasket or o-ring that needs replacement.

If the top of the line is leaking it could be running onto the CAT or the turbo could get hot enough to smoke, also take a look at your valve cover gasket.

Ohh if that is indeed an oil return line, I could definitely see that dripping onto the exhaust, causing my burning oil smell. I think the leak is at the top of that line, it drips down, and leaves a very tiny puddle on the driveway.
