Ordering an S3

Looking to make an order on an S3, this is my first time getting a new car where I can pick what ever option I want. I know that I want the color to be silver, led lights and sports seats. What I would like to know is that is there anyone that have gotten a car but wish they had certain options witch they didn't get or gotten but don't like it or doesn't use it. Thanks for any input.

The only option I wanted was the Audi Magnetic Ride because I really enjoy driving spiritedly and I love the 19 inch wheels you get. I also opted for the grey/black leather combo. I kinda wish I had a backup camera/sensor though because for some reason it's difficult to gauge how much room you have behind you.

When I purchased my S3 SS Seats (and extended leather package like leather on the door handles and center console) were not offered as an option otherwise I would have selected it. I don't care much about if seats lose power adjustment or whatever. I would care if power adjustment came with the memory seats however. But since the memory seat function is not available on S3 losing power adjustment is not a big deal for me. Other than that my car is fully loaded and it is kinda hard to say which one I regret getting. Perhaps advanced tech package comes up to my mind first but ACC is really awesome though so I am actually happy that I have it. There are not that many things available for this car to start with so I would think prestige package should be least what you should get. But this is ultimately your choice. I have a 2015 Premium Plus, and wished I would have gotten the Prestige or the Convenience Package for the auto dimming/power folding mirrors and the interior LED lighting. I understand that starting in 2016, the Convenience package is no longer available for PP, so you need to order a Prestige to get those features.

I added every option except for black optics (I actually like the trim), and the driver assist package (the adaptive cruise control and active side assist).

I do like the 19" rims but to get that I have to get the mag ride, the problem I have with the mag ride is that I plan to get coil overs later on.
The back up camera would be nice to have, what package would I need to get for that?

The power seat is not a big deal for me because I will be the primary driver most of the time, I love how the sport seats look

I ordered mine a few weeks ago and I go back and forth wondering if I should get the tech package. Hopefully someone comes out with something that can utilize my google maps on my phone to appear in the mms screen.

I only have the performance package and convenience (I think?) package on mine for the auto dimming mirrors. The only other thing that would come in handy is the rear view camera but I get along fine without it. Certainly wasn't worth the $3,000 or whatever the package was to get it for the 2015's.

Automakers will be required to have compliant rearview systems in 10% of the vehicles they build from 5/1/2016 to 5/1/2017. That share rises to 40% for the next year and 100% starting on May 1, 2018.

Well, just placed an order on a 2016 Audi S3. LED and sports seat. Dealer said it will take up to 3 months to get in. It's going to be a long wait.

guys... brand new 2016 white S3 prestige with black optic package + red caliper = MSRP is over $52k but dealer is letting go for $48k.. Its on cargurus.com audi dealer in PA.

I am surprised you could not find such a car in your populated state. Most dealers can dealer trade or should have such a think in stock. Silver and sport seats should not be too hard to find. Good luck though on your new car and enjoy.

Finally just got an email from Audi that they are building my car. I have read that people get a date when they get this. There was nothing in the email, stating a time when it would arrive. Hopefully it will not take much longer before I get it.

I got that email. Then a week later I got a vin#. And then 3 weeks ago I got an email saying it left the port of emden. No date of arrival given at any point. Dealer said it should port in San diego by the end of the month and then 2 weeks to get to Scottsdale Arizona.

So you are saying it is going to be longer then another month? Why does it take so long before they even start the build? I ordered my car 11/21/15 and I just got the email 1/22/16.
