Hey guys, I think these are my tire rods attached to the control arm? Idk but one is leaking grease and the other is starting to crack. Any information here is appreciated since I don't know much about this kinda stuff, thanks.

here is the link from FCP. in my opinion, if you're going to do the tie rods, do the upper control arms so you can have it aligned shortly after. I got all four upper control arms a few months ago for $80 shipped. so far so good.

Educate the noob here, what is that part called that's damaged? Is that the tire rod? Could I get away with just replacing those?

You can just get away with just replacing the upper control arms. I would also do Tie rods since they wear out just as fast as the upper arms.

Tie rods Ends are the end links of.your rack and pinion. Known as steering rack. When they go bad you will feel loose steering and wheel shake at 50mph to 80mph. Is good to replace inner and outer tie rods inners.go bad but not all the time. Upper control arms go bad at 70k miles usually once you replace those your car will feel new again. I baught mines at primechoiceautoparts.com for $40 and still running strong.
