So my car just did this 5-6 times in a row while stuck in bumper to bumper traffic. It has happened once ever before this occurrence and simply restarting the car fixed the issue. This time... not the case.

So while i was stuck in traffic, the car's dash would go black and beep. Sometimes the MMI stayed on, other times it shut off with everything else. The engine stayed on, but everything else seemed to cut out. By shutting the car and restarting it, it would pop back on. But if i was stopped for 15-30 seconds, it would happen again.

I used the google machine and found a few things similar, but they were old posts and didn't have many responses or solutions.

Any input would be greatly appreciated!

BTW Engine check light came on after restarting the 3rd time.

I'll try and scan it tomorrow.
