Hey guys, im new to the forum and was hoping to find some help with setting up launch control/2step...
Basic info:
2003 TT 225. 6 speed, Haldex Quattro
Stock AEB Head
GT3076r turbo
750cc Bosch EV14
IE Rods
Stock pistons
Eurodyne ME7
Currently running 93octane at 30psi.
I am having issues with launching the car. With 2 step deactivated, it is very difficult to launch with out bogging. Even when dumping it at 6500-7rpm, it is hit or miss weather I get some wheel spin, or she bogs to about 2k...
I activated the 2 step thinking this would be the answer. I set the rpm to 5000rpm. It builds about 7psi. When I dump/aggressively slip the clutch I can keep it in boost about 65% of my lunches with out bogging. If I work the clutch too much it will start to slip and if I dump to fast it bogs. I currently have a FX350 with about 4000 miles on it.
My question is this. Can you manipulate the 2 step to build more boost? Also, I understand how bad this is on the exhaust valves, but is this only when on 2step for extended periods of time (more than a few seconds) or am I shortening the life everytime I use the 2 step?
I have seen some awd 1.8t vidoes of cars make 15-20psi on 2 step and their cars are taking off like a bat out of hell. Anyone have any experience with this? Any input would be much appreciated.
Thanks!
