    Purchasing 2012 Audi A7 3.0T

Hi Audi Family. I could use some advice about purchasing a pre-owned Audi A7 Prestige.

I recently lost my 2013 Audi S4 after someone ran through a stop sign and totaled my car. I loved that car, so I started the hunt to replace it with another B8.5 S4. The only problem is the market on these cars seems to be some what inflated. I know I wanted to stay with the 3.0t platform.

So I started to look into the SQ5, A6, A7, that had under 70k miles, driven 10k miles per year, and priced between $20,000 - $25,000.

I was able to find a one owner A7 with only 60,000 miles and full service history.

Is there anything to look out for on the A7? Would you recommend any other car?

You probably already know about the timing chain issues.

Other than that, I'd look for the features you want. There's some benefits to the newer cars. The one thing I would have changed about my '13 A7 was that it didn't have active cruise control. I would also have looked harder at the diesel cars if I were going for economy/reliability (you can get 3.0t power or more while still getting great mileage).

Also, it's worth noting that you're in 4.0t A8 territory, where you get the big engine and zf8, at the cost of having air suspension to deal with. I know that isn't what you asked, but hey, I thought I'd throw that in because I was very happy with the move, and so were the kids. I'm power hungry though, so it suits me.
