All resistors will run hot as you likely know. Those ones you are showing have nice connectors though. No soldering. I use Morimoto's blue resistors.

Ok thanks. Iíll check the morimotos or just find a good place to mount these. They were just so hot after about a minute.

Agree, very hot you version resistors, you can also check VLEDís resistors (one of many brands out there), great and low temp and I got 28 of them and no issue with way higher quality product compared to illustrated.

I saw that, and got them as well for quite some time. I just called them and said I was to do full LED conversion and they sent me every bulb and all required parts/resistors. All the right parts showed and over a year now, no issues and look sharp and all red and amber colors are perfect which was something I looked when I picked the products. Just mentioned the rest, if you take that route and I did as I donít like any of the current LED tail lights (full lens assembly options) available now, and like the upgraded LED functionality with the retained OEM look.

Working on doing brakes. Which bolts to remove front calipers? The radial mount hex bolts that hold the caliper to the bracket or the 21mm bolts that hold the bracket to the upright?

    - - - Updated - - -

PS - on previous cars, it's the radial mount - but I've only seen one DIY for this and they refer to the 21mm bolts...but not sure why.

I installed my (ebay 1$) fog resistors 4 years ago at the back metal-plate of the fog lights. Still working today.

Venom, you win! Clean and bumper on... had to do so many so I had it all apart anyways, but for fogs only - I like that!

Ey bud! Yeah, I know what you mean; I remember doing the DRL's, also had to pop bumper off. The fogs were not so bad.

LED's used were these, with the resistors in the picture. https://www.ebay.com/itm/153301473981
Nothing high-end, I was basically doing a trial-and-error with multiple LED types of ebay. And these were the first installed and never changed after that for past 4 years. Still got the rest of the LED's saved since then. Hah!

Ven0m, do you happen to remember which resistors on eBay you used? Prices seem to be all over the place, and I'm guessing a resistor is a resistor is a resistor. How complicated do they need to be?

Sure, same ones as these (1.5$/piece) and correct a resistor is a resistor.

Or you can get them with the H11 fittings for the fogs

Guides were ok for the most part but the adjusters on bank 1 were maxed out, replacing everything timing related since I have the motor out for peace of mind. Parts are only a couple grand so not going to break the bank.

It looks like someone had previously been inside and replaced the one guide on top between the two adjusters. Clutch was pretty much at the end of its life so its good its getting replaced.

The cams on bank 1 were looking a little worn so I'm going to replace them as well, does anyone know where to source a used set? I can get them new pretty easily but if I can even buy a used head I'd be fine with that to take off what I need.

I installed resistors that look very similar venOms and used the VLEDS bulbs and it works perfectly. I attached them to the back of the fog like venOm did and so far itís perfect. Iíll take them out in a few weeks to make sure Iím not melting anything but, it was a great idea. Thanks VenOm.

Glad to help brother!! Let me know if anything is smouldering in the back. Mine have been sitting like that since the first install and the above picture was taken on the 19th March 2015. Still working, hah! Best 1$ ever spent

My daily activity is more car/house related. Buttoning up the new driveway with new garage door. (complete house refurbish ongoing)

And a good wash of the winter crud of course!

Also installed 22 new windows (it's a bit big house) with RF controlled shutters, so was a busy weekend wiring everything and getting the system up and running. But I now have a 40 year old house where I can flip the lights and window shutters via my phone. [:P]

I got a set of these mats and actually a trunk liner as well while I was in England. I called them up before I went over for a vacay ordered them to be made and picked them up when I got there. Haven't taken them out of their wrappers yet actually! Keeping the rubbers in the car till salt and snow season is over.

I'm not sure it actually is. I just asked if they could make me one and I guess they figured it out. Not sure it was worth the extra $. Not sure I'll ever replace the WeatherTech one for the nice one. Where would I put car parts?!! Ha.
