Does anyone know where I can find gaskets (good ones) for a k04-15 turbo?

ECS tuning sells them with their k04 turbo in a complete install kit, or you can purchase them seperately form them as well.

yes i did. i had the k03fx for about...2-3 months? then i got the GIAC k04 right away. just don't run the fx k03 file with the k04 turbo in your car at all.

was there a noticeable difference? also, if you could, are there any positives and negatives that you might care to share. i currently run the fx03 and will be upgrading to the k04 as soon as i get everything in the mail.

there was a very noticible difference in the two FX files. well the k03 and k04 are very similar turbos. the noticible difference in the k04 is that it holds its power band better than the k03. it still runs out of breath at high rpms (around 5500 or so), but it can hold more power for about 1k rpms compared to the k03.

also, it produces more torque and HP as well. you should notice about a 15-20 peak hp gain, but the torque is what you'll notice the most. if you don't plan on going with a BT then the k04 is a great choice for an upgrade.

there are no real negatives about the k04 since its inexpensive comparted to a full BT kit. only thing i would say is do not run the k04 kit without a FMIC and an exhaust because you'll really be limiting its potential. you won't be able to really experience what it can do. you will notice a lot of heat soak. good luck. you'll enjoy it.

Diztek, wish you have a trouble free install and smooth running k04 setup. (and I'm not saying a K04 is a lot of trouble. Just mods in general give a bit of trouble )

you mentioned K04-15 are there OTHER K04's (besides the K04S)?

I'd say get the install kit from ECS for like 30 bucks or however much it is. Comes with everything you need.

i believe there are other k04's for the transverse mounted 1.8T, which are mostly for the vw's and the tt. i guess its stupid to add the -15 when on a b6 site. im pretty new to this, so i was just trying to be as particular as possible.

i need suspension and rims. then i am done. well after the short shifter.
