oh sweet, freeway debris knocked out my lower center ultrasport grille

a car kicked something up in front of me and when i got home i realized it kicked out my lower grille, totally gone. those things arent secured good enough, i was surprised it fell out because the thing i hit didnt seem that big, and i guess the thing i ran over was my grille, and maybe part of the debris. lame. anyways, shameless plug... if anyone has a lower center ultrasport grille laying around, i need one now. :(

i wanted the lower blackout grille... but i dont like the fact that it costs more than the hood grille that i bought. i'd rather just spray the stock one satin if i can track one down. :(

I hit some debris on 95 about 2 months ago, and just got my car back about 3 weeks ago...total repair costs were in the neighborhood of 4 grand!!! bumper, lower center grille, one side ultrasport grille, ultrasport front spoiler, radiator, a/c condensor, power steering cooler, tire, etc. etc....the debris wasn't that big, but hitting it at highway speeds definitely took its toll on my car

yea, debris sucks. decided to just buy a grille from greg because i figure i'll probly be too lazy to paint the stock one and i want to get it fixed asap since it looks horrid. it looks like someone knocked out my cars teeth. lol

i hate deris so far i hit a bucket, a cone, and house installation (stuff inside the walls) all fallin off of cars infront of me, i still wish i wrote down their plates though

the freeway is forcing me to mod. i wanted to buy this thing before, but now i am forced to. is it a bad sign when even inanimate objects are making you mod now? haha. o well. atleast it didnt break a headlight or my windshield.

I had the same thing happen to me with my USP except i hit a freggin truck tire and destroyed my whole front.

Now I have an Oetty bumper... :D

haha, there ya go. atleast you got something sweet out of it without your premium going up. im just glad it didnt cause me to crash or break a headlight or windshield. i think it was a skinned tire that i hit, thats all i can think of that would be heavy enough to knock out the grille. a peice of black plastic would have to be pretty heavy i'd think

actually i was pretty upset to find out that it didnt go under comprehensive(sp) rather it went in as collision. So my deductible was 500... However, I was lucky enough that my body shop made me an offer... make him some decals for his shop and he'll make the 500 dissapear... :D

I only spent 200 for the difference in price for the oetty bumper. I'm pretty lucky it went smoothly. I've heard of other horrible insurance claims giving people a hard time.

yea, i had a good experience with my bodyshop on my last car when i got in an accident. ended up with a full bodykit and ecodes. bahaha. atleast i already have ecodes and a factory bodykit on this car, so theres not really any gains to be made in that area, besides.. its not worth not having a car for 2 months.

ah well i dont think the replacement will be that expensive. I had to replace my fog light which shattered under a similar condition. Got knocked out by some rocks. Cost me $100+.

ya, well the lower center grille costs more than the hood grille. lower grille = $100
