Most recommended diagnostic tool to get?

I'm looking to get a diagnostic tool for audi/VW. Will Ross tech cable be good enough for small audi/VW shop or go with the snap on solus or something else? Thanks!

My solus pro does tons of imports just fine, including BMW, Mercedes, all Japanese, it even does big trucks....but my personal Audi does not seem to have many options on the solus. I use an older (4 year old) autel scanner for my s4. I've heard good things about vagcom and Ross tech, just be sure to get the unlimited vin account. BTW both scanners are fully updated, the solus is a much faster and efficient scanner, but the Audi options suck.
