    A review on Headliner Express

If anybody wants to restore the OEM Audi headliner look, check with Headliner Express(Headlinerexpress.com) in Florida specializing in import headliner materials. I got new headliner fabric from them and they appeared to be the exact same fabric as that of the original audi one came in my car. Headliner express is very famous in BMW forums but when I searched in Audi forums before purchase, I couldn't find any single post about them or their materials. So I gave a call to owner Bill(very nice guy, also explained how to install headliner as a DIY'er) and he told me to send a sample piece of the actual fabric and later he send me a huge roll of fabric at a reasonable price of around $155 including two high temperature adhesive aerosols. Headliner was already out of my car as I was restoring the sunroof operation, so I prepped it myself and gave it to a local trim shop here to put the fabric for $60 as I was not confident enough to try it myself.

At the end, everything came out real nice and the interior now looks new with no more ugly headliner sagging at the rear..

That looks really nice! Did you strip the headliner before having that place install it for you?

Yes, I took out headliner to replace sunroof guides so prepped it myself and then dropped it at the trim shop. And that's why the $60 labor as there was no removal or installation of headliner involved.

Care to share what type of adhesive/brand was used on putting the headliner together? The headliner looks great! Thanks in advance.

The headliner came with two cans of below adhesive, but local trim shop used their own stuff to glue the headliner. The guy said they use some kind of contact cement for gluing all headliners at the shop..

But I have used this aerosol to soundproof roof and seemed to glue very well. I have also used Foam fast 74 in the past, but I think this one is better than 3M IMO..
