    Suspesion Question (H&R and Vogtland)

    Hey Guys,

    So I'm getting ready to purchase suspension stuff (finally!) for my A4, and I have been doing research since summer and still have a few questions unfortunately. Right now I'm riding pretty on non-sport OEM suspension, and about 2 months ago I was pretty dead set on H&R Sport/Bilstein combo on AWE Tuning's website. Good deal, and I hear whoever had these love their setup alot. But then I've seen posts about Vogtlands (thanks Justin517) and the drop on that looks really good and it just has me concerned and confused on what I should do as I have heard alot of good things about Vogtland as well.

    I want something a little bit lower than OEM sport, but now too low. And something with decent ride quality, I know it's going to be a change from the floaty non-sport susp. I have now, but something that I can drive and still feel comfortable in. That's why I chose H&R sport in the beginning, as it was I believe .5inch lower than OEM sport, while the H&R Race is a little too low for my taste, and I have heard things how it may be too stiff. Then I serached and found alot of good info about Vogtland, which I believe is about 1-1.25 inch lower than OEM sport after it settles.....I'm just somewhat worried about the low-ness. This will really be my first car that I am driving lowered, and it is my daily driver, so I don't wanna F it up. So that's kind of where I stand....I want something low and comfortable, but not too low(but lower than OEM sport). So what is everyones opinions/advice/comments? Thanks in advance!

    I say go Vogtland. I don't have it, yet, but I plan on getting the Vogtland/Koni package from PureMS. From what I hear, they drop slightly more than H&R sports and ride even better. If you want a smoother ride, I'd go with the Koni shocks; they are supposed to be smoother and are adjustable.

    I completely agree... every Vogtland drop I've seen has looked perfect.

    I have H&R sports, and this is how low my car is, yes lower than A4 sport, but not as low as I wish it would be, if you want lower with this (with H&R anyway) you will have to go Race springs;

    $744. Not really sure if that's good or not but not a ton of places sell Vogtland.

    Hmm. What's the cheapest sport suspension combo you can get for a quattro? If someone could link me up that'd be great. I'd love to get that setup but if other combos are really that much cheaper I don't care enough to spend the extra money for konis/vogtlands.

    I have no personal experience with Vogtland but I have few friends using Vogtland in their MB cars and very happy with the ride quality and overall handling (paired with Bilstein sports)

    So I purchased 35mm set for my 1.8TQ ($120 from here ), now just looking for a great deal on Bilsteins - anyone knows where to get those "sport" units for less than $449 shipped - please, let me know!

    Thanks,
    D

    I hate to break it to you but those springs you bought are for front wheel drive cars only... or so it says.
