    Anyone have 4" exhaust tips (2.5" inlet running into dual 4" tips) running on a stock b8.5 diffuser? I have some that perhaps I would like to have installed but they are 8.3-8.4" wide and 11" long, I just want to make sure there's clearance there.

    Ive got stock peelers & picked up some used 18 wheels for snow setup that are probably B7 RS4 Hartmann reps. Can I assume that the lugs will be interchangeable? Or are there common differences in lug depths?

    The center bore is smaller on b7s. You will need to have them bored out to 66.7

    Going stage 2 is there a benefit of changing the crank pulley over the supercharger pulley? Is one easier to change? Does one give more power over the other?

    Yes and no. I was quoted similar labor for sc pulley vs crank pulley. Upgrading crank pulley removes a failure prone part. You can customize the size of the crank pulley, but you are still limited to how much boost your tune will allow.

    You will get a message on the instrument cluster to replace the battery when it gets low.

    My tuner felt the crank pulley is faster to replace but also felt that either we do the sc pulley first with the supporting software or do a DP with supporting mods and software but that was a while ago. Now with more results on DP ratios available, there are more options on the market.

    To expand further on that, some files are built with significant overhead if you decide to replace the crank pulley and go bigger than 179. You could do the APR stage 2 file and there's plenty of overhead to account for running a larger pulley ratio if you so desire.

    Thinking of going EPL. I think I am going to stick with just a stage one but was tossing around stage 2 and curious of benefits of changing each pulley. Thanks! I am 20 min from exit 160.

    Provide them vin, ask if there are any flags on your account.

    The status is stored on their servers, they are the only ones who can really tell you.

    Alternatively, grab VCDS and look at your revision number. If it starts with an "X" you're likely flagged or will be.

    Since you are that close to me, go where you can get long term support, it will be worth it in the long run, try my tuner, they are in Saddle Brook, KMD Tuning, I've been using them for about 15 years thru all my last VW/Audi cars, just go for Stage 2 skip 1, you will thank me later!

    It's the best time to do it. Having all 4 tires at even tread depth with no wear will allow the shop to get the tightest specs on alignment
    I always get an alignment with fresh tires

    Figured as much. I'll go ahead and do it. Local tire shop has lifetime alignment for $179 and 1 year for $99. No brainer, I think.

    If I have chrome window trim and I'm going to have it wrapped in black, what does everyone go with/what is OEM?

    Matte or Satin? I know glossy isn't used much at all..

    Hypothetically, if you were inside the car and the battery completely died, like so dead it wouldn't respond to the keyfob (I have had this happen on another vehicle), how would you get out of the car if the doors were locked and the windows were up? Let's assume you can't get through the trunk.

    I did gloss black but I also have a black car, blends really well into it.

    I went with a Gloss 3m wrap on my B8 s4 which looks closest to the OEM black optics package on the new s4 model and it looks great. (Window trim pieces and grill)

    Headlight assembly

    Can someone pinpoint which sections of the headlight assembly actually clamp to the body? For some reason I can't figure out how these headlight brackets are supposed to mount onto the radiator support securely.

    Hello, I know this topic has been discussed so many times so I'm trying to avoid creating a new thread.

    I'm looking for a suggestion on rear breaking pads which will be a good combo with ECS 330mm two-piece drilled/slotted rotors.

    Calipers are stock. I'm not tracking. Want quiet, low-dust and good for occasional spirited driving ones.

    (Considering all info I've processed so far I'm thinking about Hawks 5.0)

    Not sure if this is normal but sometimes I'll be in S in whatever gear and when I floor it the RPMs will go all the way up but it won't feel like the car is accelerating and once the car goes through the RPMs and into the next gear then I'll feel it accelerate.

    Is this normal? Should I just be downshifting?
