I think the rain-sensing wipers work great . They worked great on my B7 and they work great on my B8. The sensitivity settings do their job.

I had rain-sensing wipers on a Volvo V70R and a Lexus IS 350 and they both sucked. So, I guess when you're used to them not working at all, something is better than nothing

I hate that the zoom is backwards! I've had the car for going on 3 months already and i still can't get it right the first try!

I also agree on the wipers! And even on the fastest setting, sometimes it's like it forgets to start wiping out something.

I agree. Love my rain sensors and 95% of the time they get the job done correctly on the lowest setting. I especially love the fact that they will automatically speed up to compensate, or not wipe at all (I leave mine on accidentally a lot, but don't notice). Makes my life easier.

Living in Florida, we actually get an afternoon deluge of hard core rain (so hard it rains UP) almost every day. The rain sensor setting works great. However, I will say that I do turn it all the way off when it's not wet/rainy out. Those damn things will come on with some dust or small debris kickup from the road. They just randomly come on from time to time when left in the "auto" wipe mode. Still love them though lol.

My issue with the auto sensing is that it's just too damned slow. Even at max speed it's slower than the "High" fixed speed, which is already slow as hell. It basically amounts to an auto sensing mode that can only be used for light to moderate rain, anything remotely heavy and I have to manually switch to High.

Why are the sunglasses holders so small?

Why is the second cup hold barely big enough to fit a 16oz water bottle?

Why isn't there just a simple AUX Audio input?

What's that slot cutout made to hold next to the cup holders in the center console?

    1. The glasses holder is really small for most, I know the 2 I have dont fit... dunno why :(

    2. I agree and I actually use the bottle holders in the doors for water bottles now.

I just read this again and realized you're talking about what I thought was a temperature sensor for cabin temp. I had no idea it was for coins!

Also, why does the driver's side arm rest not have a bottom to the hand grip. It (wastefully) goes all the way through, robbing me of the little cup in the arm rest that most cars have. Those are so handy for short term small trash storage or as a coin holder.

If you have the A/C running for a long time, shut off the A/C (not the fans), and let the system air out a bit before you shut your car off.

Like bizzy said, before you shut off your car...shut off the A/C but leave the fans running to dry out any condensation that may be left in the vents. I never have this problem because I literally never use air conditioning (robs me of precious power! JK. I just like driving with the windows open.) Although it has happened on my other cars.

I have a 2015...roof DOES NOT open all the way with full turn of the knob (unless there's a VCDS code I'm unaware of). You have to turn knob and hold it beyond the last notch to open roof all the way, and only AFTER it has completed its full automatic opening.

Try what the others were saying. One other option to try is a product called "Ozium"--it'll rid you of that smell. When my car was smelling musty, I turned the A/C on full blast, and sprayed it down where the cabin air filter is. This way it would reach the evaporator and travel through all the vents, killing the stuff I don't want there. Worked like a charm. It may smell overwhelming at first, but you can solve that by either leaving the car until it's settled, or opening the windows to air it out.

I haven't had a sunglass holder that fit my sunglasses in years, use it for subdivision entry gate remote storage lol. As to why, I think maybe all the Audi design engineers wear Jersey guy type sunglasses?

Not only do I wonder why the second cup holder is so small, I wonder why the placement for both cupholders are right where my arm goes when shifting my 6MT

Why is the navigation panning so damn slow? If I'm looking at the nav map and want to pan (using that weird joystick thing that seems to always get pushed while I'm trying to move it) it is abysmally slow :P

This way it would reach the evaporator and travel through all the vents, killing the stuff I don't want there. Worked like a charm. It may smell overwhelming at first, but you can solve that by either leaving the car until it's settled, or opening the windows to air it out.
Or you could shut off A/C a few minutes before you finish your drive.

Or you could use a product sparingly when necessary. Why would I want to blow out 90-100 degree air at me? Might as well advise him to go without completely.

First, it doesn't blow 90-100 degree air when you turn the A/C off for the last few minutes of your drive (if the car's going to sit for hours). Second, if you don't turn it off for the last minute or two you'll get the foul swamp stink from the A/C in relatively short order.

It would be nice if Audi had competently designed the A/C system, but alas, it doesn't seem to be. No other car I've owned has been anywhere near as problematic with A/C stink.

I'll take a look for that. I thought I had looked through all the menus though.

Despite having looked at the main menu screen many times I had overlooked the time option in the upper right corner. I changed it to GPS and now all is right with the world. I'm pretty impressed with how accurate the clock was. It was about 90 seconds off for 3 years without drifting.
