Need new Transmission?! Trans swap codes

Hey guys i have a 2013 b8.5 S5 has a 6 speed manual and unfortunately the trans has internal damage and needs to be replaced, Its a Code NAA Transmission, From what ive researched online the LPE 6 speed manual from the 2011-2012 S4 Is 100% interchangeable and compatible with the 13 S5, as the LPE and NAA are interchangeable, I just wanted to verify that this is infact the case, The only differences is there is a sensor that is different on the LPE its a reverse light sensor and the NAA has a Neutral safety switch, Would this cause any issues from the swap? and are the LPE trans truly infact compatible with a NAA trans car?

    Thanks for the help.

I have no idea.....but, can't you just have the original transmission rebuilt? As long as there's no damage to the gearbox casing itself, it should be possible to replace the internals. Rebuilding a manual transmission is pretty easy because it's simple. I've done a ton of the old T5 transmissions that were in 5.0 Mustangs.

I agree with Rock as far as the transmission rebuild is concerned. A place like JHM might even have better than OEM parts for some of the known issues. But with that said, yes, you should be able to use any manual from a S4 or S5 with the LPE or NAA designation of the 0B4, they other versions different gearing.
