Did you tape anything off? Specifically the plastic bar that is kind of behind the grill?

Thanks. I'll have to email to see if they are in stock. A lot of places are listed as in stock but they drop ship so they send the order to magnaflow and they ship straight to you.

I have an 2014 Glacier White allroad with factory "matte" painted flares. Does anyone know what touch up paint I need for the body and the matte flares? 2Y/S9R - called my local dealer and they don't show a different paint for the matte flares.....

I don't think there is a touchup paint for the flares. They aren't really "painted" I don't believe. They just get scuffed and you have to deal with it.

edit: didn't realize you meant color matched. Probably the same color just no clear coat. Not sure how to touchup... usually those have a shine to them, right?

If I have someone offering to sell me good condition 20" Q5 peelers for $700 or possibly less, am I a fool to pass it up? They're painted, is the only issue, for me.

Would be great to have a 20" winter wheel.

edit: To remove suspicion, I've been chatting with them for about a month or so, and they're moving soon so they want to get rid of them, so the price has been going down.

I'm a huge fan of them, especially for winter. :) I believe dropshadow and killerboots have sets too for winter use. These are off a European A6 with a higher offset (added spacers). I believe the Q5 variants are slightly more concave with the lower offset.

Is that price a good deal? It seems like it is for 20" wheels... I'm not sure if Q5 peelers are dime-a-dozen, I guess, is what I'm asking.

I love the bright look of the normal peelers. I might have to repaint. They're black.

Yeah, that's a great price. I would expect them to be $1000-1200.

$700 is a good price, but take into account what it'll cost to have them refinished.

Mine are the Hartmann HRS6-204-GS peeler rep in 20x9 et25. They're 1/2 inch wider and lower offset than the Q5 version, so they're a little bit more concave.

Yeah that's kinda what I figured. I'll have to look up what refinishing costs. I haven't messed with wheels in the past, too much.

Are you running the +25 version?

If they're going to be winter wheels, what does it matter what color they are?

    I say go for it.

Some of us like to have good looking winter setups to complement our summer set.

Really though, sometimes my winters are on for more of the year than my summers.

Does anyone know if anyone makes vinyl stickers/covers for the rear bumper reflectors in the allroad bumper texture color/finish? Would be great and with the grey and black bumper covers that would cover all of the cars except for the full paint cars.

Can't verify the part number, but a B8.5 flat bottom steering wheel is a direct fit into the Allroad. If you already have the 3-spoke steering wheel you can even reuse the airbag.

I think the S5 will... I'm pretty sure the *3 platform does not match, though.

Yeah I think that will work. I did pretty extensive research into which ones fit and that looks like a winner. You'll need a 3 spoke wheel airbag, though.

I ended up with an RS4 wheel and I swapped in an S-Line badge for the RS4 badge

I had an OE RS4 full air leather FBSW in my black allroad and it was plug & play. I'm sure the RS5 version will work just fine.

Yeah. Itís more about making sure the steering wheel controls are the same. I went with an s-line partial air leather wheel.

Yeah, I received mine in the mail yesterday. The best part, which I don't actually see in the link provided, said something similar to "Audi recommends leaving the affected vehicle outside until the pump is replaced" or something similar.

Seems like catastrophic if it actually catches on fire. However, you probably have to have bad luck.

Might not be a bad idea to keep a fire extinguisher in the car for the near future. Could save the entire car from being lost, even if the engine / front end goes.

My guess is it is relatively low. I glanced at the NHTSA website and didn't find any complaints of engine fires (but I didn't check all the years and all the models impacted). The USA Today story says that no reports of fires are listed (https://www.usatoday.com/story/money...eat/545548002/).

My understanding is that you technically don't need the aux pump as its purpose is to circulate coolant through the turbo after the car shuts off. Could cool the turbo the old fashioned way and just let the car run for a bit before shutting it off. Easy enough to unplug the electrical to the pump (connector is on top). It's on the driver's side of the engine below the intake towards the back. (I did it to confirm that the sound I was hearing was coming from it when I ended up having it replaced end of last year.)

I'm getting my aux heat recall fixed in a week. I went in for my 55k service about 2 months after that recall came out and the audi tech didn't mention a thing to me. I found out about it today while searching about the recall notice I got in the mail for the coolant pump. great customer service

Yeah mine said leave parked outside. Probably so you don't catch your house on fire if your car does catch on fire lol

I had my EPC light come on about a month ago, I'm assuming from this after run coolant pump problem. In my letter it states audi will diagnose it for free and replace the coolant pump, with I'm assuming a new version of the current pump like the news article you reference states, and then ill have to get the coolant pump replaced again once the new one design comes out around November. I talked to my dealer and they seem a little confused and slightly unsure of what to do since my EPC light came on already

Would absolutely love to go, but 1,150 miles (18 hrs) one way is just too far.
