S-line is basically an appearance package that offers the same front and rear bumpers as the S4. There are other differences between the two though, like unique grilles and rear valences. allroads don't have an S-line option.

I know but these newer cars come with so many different variations, like premium allroads with sports package....basically an allroad with no painted flares & no back up camera or parking sensors or B/O sound.

To me, Premium Plus is the level that has all the things you would expect - xenon/led headlights, dimming mirrors, heated seats, etc.
Premium is the budget option, and Prestige is fully outfitted (has nav, upgraded stereo, etc). On the B8, adaptive cruise, rear airbags, sport pkg are the only options not in prestige.

I recommend Prem+ and Nav as a baseline, sport if you can. The Nav comes with a lot more than just maps/directions. It includes the backup camera (which is amazing - it has very accurate overlays showing where the edges of your car will be as you turn the steering wheel, so you can accurately avoid obstacles next to you or behind you as you back up), upgraded MMI and trip computer, ability to receive HD radio stations.

    I rarely see prestige

Premium plus w/ technology package as mentioned would be the best way to go. I just wish there were front parking sensors.

The 2016 models have some added standard features

Now that I am apart of this shit show, I got some questions that need answers....I demand to speak to Sampson!!!

Has anybody taken the headlights apart to remove the amber in the headlights?

Any tunes out there with launch control?

Has anybody blacked out the aluminum pieces on the bumper, side skirt, rear bumper, or even window trim?

    Blacked out the OEM grill?

    1. Yes, me.
    2. Not that I'm aware of, but that would be nice.
    3. Yes. Check out the list of build threads on page 1. Jos4Audi did on his black allroad, and I think someone else is in the process of doing it. I'm not sure if it's been done on an all-white allroad yet.
    4. A couple of those in the list as well.

We should have a little get together but most likely when you guys see me it will be in my other avant and not so much in the allroad unless you catch me in the wild going to work.

I can tell you that I'm already looking into molding all the flares into the body, giving it a different look.

Funny you should say that.. I was in our design studio this week and was talking about scanning them to make either carbon/Kevlar panels or sheet metal ones . The consensus was to avoid gobs of bondo ... Especially filling nylon to steel gaps. Ton of work to dial it in. Worth it if you have a nice twin turbo v8 swap in mind....

I blacked-out OEM grill (except for the Rings) and love the look. FYI you can remove the front Rings with clips on the back to avoid having to mask them.

Thinking about blacking out the window trim and side skirts. The side skirts should be super easy. I use the roof rack for hauling cargo , so paint or plasti-dip is not a good option for me would get scratched up easily.

So when it comes to DP's and HFC's even exhaust systems (without the tips), can I just buy used stuff from the B8 A4?

I feel like the Allroad should have it's own section because everything I look up most likely comes back for a B8 A4.

To answer your question, I'm running an 034 HFC with an APR downpipe, both the B8 A4 part. Beyond that, I have the Magnaflow allroad-specific catback exhaust.

For most parts, the B8 & B8.5 A4 versions will work on the allroad, but really, what you're describing is *exactly* why I started this thread. I couldn't find much allroad-specific info, so it took a lot of extra research and sometimes trial & error to see what works.

Having said that, I don't want to be the only person posting their findings in this thread. I'm hoping that more people chime in with what they've found works on these cars.

The allroad is a bit different than the majority of cars on the road, and I think that probably played a part in why we like them, right?

I am currently having problems with fitment of a CTS Turbo downpipe on my Allroad. I've removed it from the vehicle. In all likelihood I will be sending it back to the manufacturer. Right now I would not recommend it.

    What type of fitment issue?

Yeah dude, the info is hard to find and most people don't post what is working or not working. Another issue is that not a lot of people know of this section and just like how I was confused, I didn't know what section I should be looking at to find info on the Allroad. I think we should contact a mod and see if they can start an Allroad section.

    There were multiple fitment issues:
    1. The straight section where it connects to the factory exhaust was too long and needed to be cut down in order to make the connection.
    2. The outer diameter of the pipe is slightly smaller than the factory pipe, at the location where it connects to the factory exhaust (same as above). Because of this, I had to modify the connector to allow it to constrict further than it normally would.
    3. The bends in the downpipe don't seem to be accurate. When connected, the pipe wants to run across part of the driveshaft. I needed to use a gear clamp to pull the downpipe away from the driveshaft towards a subframe brace.

The part looks like it does on the website. I think it's the right part. It's just not quite shaped correctly. At least not for the Allroad.

Is there a thread for AvantoberFest? I'll turn the Camp allroad post on the first page into an "Events" section.

I had the AWE downpipe removed from my car today, and the stock dp put back on. Sooooo much nicer. The drone is gone. Now I can finally enjoy driving my car again.

For anyone else considering exhaust, I would highly recommend you keep the factory downpipe. With an Avant, there's just too much drone. Probably much easier to deal with in a sedan.

How about DP and no Catback? That looks like the route I'm going with...weld up new tips so it doesn't look too stupid. Really want that E85 tune and I believe is DP is necessary.

I guess your results will vary, because I would suggest differently... I had an SPM street downpipe on my '09 A4 Avant that had a pretty cool sound and was completely drone-free. My AR currently has a full exhaust (RAI test pipe & Billy Boat cat-back), and after putting ~3k miles on it the drone has become very minimal and not at all annoying.

My AR currently has a full exhaust (RAI test pipe & Billy Boat cat-back), and after putting ~3k miles on it the drone has become very minimal and not at all annoying.
Do you currently have a downpipe on your allroad, or is it the stock one? I have an 034 HFC into the stock DP, then onto the Magnaflow exhaust. I'm happy with this combo, but wouldn't rule out getting another downpipe someday if it drones less. I'll look at that SPM one.

I will let you know on Tuesday.

Has anybody done the RS5 sway bar upgrade I the allroads yet? Is it even an upgrade or better off buying one of the after market ones out there?

My system connects directly to the test pipe, so it technically has a Billy Boat 3" downpipe but they don't sell downpipes separately from the full exhaust system... I will note, on my old car I had only the SPM street downpipe (w/ HFC) which mated to the OEM cat-back, so I'm not sure if there would be drone with an aftermarket system past the downpipe. All I know is that the SPM downpipe mated to the stock system created zero drone.
