I did get photos of the wheel off the car and sorry for not posting. The photos are very dark and it's nearly impossible to tell the color from the photos. The customer was having the wheel installed and then would send better lit photos.

Let me give him a shout again.

Sure no worries. I appreciate the persistence! I wouldn't be bugging you so much, but I scoured the net trying to find a picture of a brown/beige flat bottom wheel and came up empty.

This is the moor brown flat-bottom wheel in a customer's Q5:

This same wheel is also available for the grey interior as well. If anyone is interested or has more questions don't hesitate to PM or email: [email protected]

Hey I am interested in getting one of these eventually. I have a B8 A4 m/t premium package so no nav and love the look of the flat bottom steering wheels but none of the links you had posted specifically said pre facelift but then you said if it is prefacelift it needs an airbag with it so I am just making sure that i can buy like the rs4 FBSW with the airbag without having any issues.

This is a thread specifically for the post-facelift steering wheels. These steering wheels will fit pre-facelift and post-facelift models. Your pre-facelift model will require an airbag and it will function with your car properly.

Alex I tried to send you a PM regarding the Moor brown wheel, but when I look in my control panel I don't see any sent messages. Please let me know if you do NOT have a PM from me.
    Thanks.

I do have 2 PM's from you so it was working. I've heard this complaint before from users, a PM is sent and nothing shows in your sent folder, not sure of the issue. Look for a reply in the next few minutes.

PSA: Airbag pricing from Audi has climbed recently. When inventory of airbags that were purchased before this pricing hike are depleted there will be an increase in pricing of $100 to add in an airbag with a steering wheel purchase.

Pricing will likely be climbing on many replacement items over the coming months due to costs associated with the dieselgate scandal. I would keep this in mind if you do plan on modifying you car with genuine items.

Are all of the flat bottom steering wheels for the B8.5 the same size/thickness?

My father has an RS5 and I just bought an Allroad. I'd like the thicker flat bottom wheel like the RS5 but don't care for the air leather. Looking at this one: http://europrice.us/steering-wheel-p...lat-bottom-948

Do you have any pre-facelift FBSW on sales???? Fit for a B8 A4? I have the post-facelift and cannot use my steering wheel buttons, so need to downgrade (?) to a pre-facelift version. I only will need the wheel bcos I have a dual-stage airbag that should fit as well... So let me know. thx

All of the post-facelift wheels are the same thickness and shape, just the leather, controls, paddles will vary depending on the wheel.

The all smooth leather wheel with black stitching can be ordered in if needed. There is an S-Line with titanium stitching and paddles available on special, half perforated. PM for pricing if interested.

The pre-facelift wheel pricing is higher than the post-facelift because they are no longer in production or used in any current vehicles. Audi always raises pricing throughout the life cycle of the part, low pricing when the car is released and in production with that part. When the car is no longer produced the part price continually rises as inventory winds down. So unfortunately not much room to discount pre-facelift/original style wheels.

Also the airbag that is required is the TT unit, your stock airbag will not fit any flat-bottom wheel. The TT airbag lists for nearly $1200 MSRP, another reason for high pricing on full original style flat-bottom packages.

Your B7 should be able to use the post-facelift steering wheels. Just the iNav button will not function, all others will function just like yours do now.

    Cheers,
I have a B8 (2012) and also have the OEM FBSW (from a 2013 S3) installed already (see pic below) including dual-stage airbag that fits , but none of the wheel buttons work. Hoping that I can swap this out for a pre-facelift version and get my wheel buttons to work. I have seen some on EBay for like $800. Is that the cheapest I can get this for??

You have a wheel with the wrong controls, either 8V or C7 style. None of those will work in a B8 model.

You may have the right airbag for the B8.5 models, though there are different units for different models. You could price out just wheels alone here:

    A4, S4, RS4 B8.5 | Steering Wheels

When ordering you would select that you have a post-facelift 3 spoke wheel so that you do not add in an airbag.

Currently as listed above there is an RS Performance with blue stitching or an S-Line with titanium stitching and paddles on special. These would come with the proper controls for your car that function as your old controls did. If you wanted sale pricing on either wheel please PM or email: [email protected]

    Thanks for the info.

Unfortunately I couldn't deal with the perforated leather.

I did just see the holiday sale thread pop up. I will be sending an email later this evening or sometime tomorrow about a couple of other things.

I'm on the fence between the plateless front grill and replacing the interior trim, or the steering wheel. With the grill and trim on special I am leading towards those for now.

As airbag supplies from last year start to dwindle down it's the last chance to get full packages at current pricing.

All package pricing with airbags will climb $100 in the next month or so, depends on how quickly wheel packages sell.

So if you've been on the fence and need a full package with airbag don't hesitate too long!
