Didn't find many options on Ebay, I went with this. At the base where you screw into the tow hook, I found the bulky part of it would rub the crash plate slightly. I did manage to shave a bit off to allow it to cleanly fit in.
After that I bent the plate considerably to match the shape of the bumper to avoid setting off the parking sensor.

I have to say, the Q5 design has aged really well. My wife still loves her 2014 3.0T with 110k miles on it. Just treated it to a pretty big service (new air/oil separator, thermostat, walnut blasting the valves, etc, etc) since she said she loves it and wants to keep it.

Before and after pics…going to drop her another inch. Currently sitting at 31”.





Even 31” looks better than stock lol.

Will get it aligned on Monday, have 15/20mm spacers installed and then drop her another inch. She’s currently set to 4 on dampening and is riding really well, taking bumps in charlotte with ease. Let’s see how she does at 5!

Replacing control arms the other day due to leaking bushings. 113k miles on them so not bad!

While lowering, replaced control arms with 034 adjustable control arm kit. Also lowered another inch…and added 15/20mm spacers.
