You bought the DTM rep spoiler from Eric? Man that little thing really changes the look of the trunk and here I thought j was complacent with the stock s-line lid.

I bought the DTM CF diffuser from him. That other piece is a CF window spoiler. I didn't want to do the trunk and the window spoiler, I think it's too much going on so I decided to just do window spoiler (which I had, I didn't buy his)

Well I can't do the DTM part until I have a DTM bumper of a donor bumper to cut and fabricate, and the spoiler I'm just so lazy lol. I'll do it soon... Definitely before h2oi. Car shows motivate me

I wish I had a more formal update to throw into this, but not really. I mean... Kind of.

So, I bought aluthman's old Garret GT-3071 BTK, which included a 145 bar rail valve, RS4 injectors, Forge DV (which I am selling in the classifieds), the turbo/manifold, and he's going to help me make a new cat pipe. I'm stoked to get it in. Also, I returned the APR 2+ tune because they didn't have a tune for the Garret and I wanted to do custom this time around. I'm going to have AMR performance in Danbury, CT tune my car. I'm excited to see what kind of power it makes! I'll upload pictures of all of this eventually.

Next, I fit my bumper on... Better than it was before, at least. (small victory for me) but realized that it needs to be pulled to match the way the fenders are. Hopefully this can be done over the winter, along with my rear 25th Anniversary DTM bumper to match the rear arches.

Lastly, here's some photos from the Gumball Meet last Saturday. Probably more photos to come on this!

Damn, I love how your car sits, wide body etc etc. Truly inspiring! It is heavily modified but very classy - unlike that Pink Z in the distance....

You should be able to make some great top end power but the one drag of a bigger turbo such as the 3071 will be a significant dilation from non-boost power in the low RPMs and high boost power in the upper RPMs. Even with the JHM kit I have now, turbo starts to spool around 3500 and really kicks in at 4000 and up. I can't imagine the 3071 spooling any sooner than that. Just means I have to change my aggressive driving habits and down shift into 4k instead of just having the K03 spool at 2.5k. My appreciation of the lack of turbo lag on the K03 is more appreciated but after 4k RPM, most cars on the road aren't touching me.

Thanks! I'm trying to keep it classy because I think Audi and class go hand in hand.

I figured there would be some lag too, it sucks but whatever. I can't wait to boost around with the big turbo haha. Time for anti lag?

So yesterday I spent the day driving to PA to get this bumper, and then met my friends in Philadelphia to take over rotiform's snapchat (rotiformwheels). You may be able to see some things on there still!

Anyway, I cannot wait to get this painted, pulled on the sides to match my fenders, and put it on my car!!

Lookie awesome , can't wait to see the dtm rear installed. Does the carbon diffuser only fit on the dtm rear, or will it mate up to a normal b7 butt ?

It's an overlay. To run it on a normal bumper you need to do some fabrication

So now I officially have all of my pieces I sent to Andrew back. Hit him up if you need anything made into carbon fiber! I'm a very happy customer for sure. He killed it on this!

    His instagram is @andrew_karl

Also, I'm selling the Garret BTK I have. Decided I don't want to do a 2.0t and I would rather swap the car to a 2.7t

How about the 3.0T swap from the newer S4??? If you ask Axis he's got the contacts for the swap. All great things come from Canada/Germany.

I love the 2.7T motors awesome swap too, wonder if the new technology may be a more reliable item. That and not having to completely pull the motor if you have any turbo issues. I'm not sure how well the twins fit in our bay but I remember on the allroad anything turbo related (leaks, replacing lines, clamps wiggling loose) resulted in complete removal of engine. Oh and exhaust, ya that was a total shit show of a job just to get 2.5" test pipes in and then there was the one bolt the shop missed on the top of turbo they " forgot to tighten" which was actually not even installed.

My thoughts on this is if I tear the engine down, reseal it, replace any hoses in bad shape, carbon clean, check the internals and do the timing belt and water pump, there's no reason that it should break in the near future

So I had a APR 2+ tune but was unhappy with it, so I returned it for a full refund. Went with this AMR custom dyno tune instead. Price was less than the APR tune as well. I have a diverter valve issue so when I sort that Rob said he will bump the car to 21 psi on the k03 turbo and is expecting another 60-80 horse out of it on top of what I already gained. We will see!

Also I finally changed the ugly old lenses that were greenish. Soooo much better. H2oi prep is done as much as possible since I broke my hand. Oh well.

Also the bumper is off to paint

Went to h2oi and met the editor in chief of Euro Steez magazine and he shot my car, it will be featured in the next edition, and an understatement would be saying I'm excited. I'm so pumped to see it!!!

Did your buddy with the white s-line fab up the front end with OEM S6 fog grills to fit the S6 LED bar? Made the S-line bumper look completely different.

shaved reflectors too, but you really notice the difference in paint from bumper to fender. What mirrors does he have?

Lol yeah white and silver are tough colors to paint match. Looks like he has OEM black or CF mirror covers.

Hey what's up. You're right on the S6 LEDs and fog grilles. As far as the front bumper it has a clear bra that has faded badly and doesn't match the rest of the car anymore which I hate and notice every time I look at it so I'll probably get a new one or do without. I'm considering going DTM. And the mirrors are CF.

Good to know! Thanks for the information. Still debating between building the 2.0t or doing a 2.7t swap. Regardless it's a project that has to wait some time

If this is your primary car, I would avoid the 2.7 swap. You still have ( I think) the GT30 setup from aluthman. You can make pretty respectable power that is daily driveable with that. Just my 2 cents.

I sold the gt30, have some medical bills since I broke my hand and have to keep my priorities straight. And yeah I agree, just the 4K spool sucks

Sorry to hear about the hand. I hear you about the narrow powerband but I can assure that the 2.7 swap will be a PITA. There are several "OTS" turbo setups for the 2.0t that make pretty decent power. Remember you will ALWAYS want more!

Looking good! You ever think about having a meaty tire setup for the more aggressive/spirited driving days?! I can see this car pulling it off really well too.

Yeah I know. After I'm at 21 psi on the k03 and around 300 awhp I'll be happy for a little. Would love to break 400

I always think about selling the air and putting fat tires on my wheels with a good coilover setup lol. Almost daily really. But the wheels cost me a shit load of cash and aired up the fitment is pretty pokey so I'd have to rebuild them smaller or just sell and get a new set. If someone could photoshop a meaty setup I might be more inclined to go that route. The stance thing is getting meh for me

Edit: fwiw I can't put meaty tires anyway because of the shape of the fender

I think it all boils down to the brand of tire (and maybe less aggressive wheel offset lol). Some have a nice rounded sidewall. I think with a good amount of appropriate camber you can pull off a functional meaty-stance. I was just thinking with all the intention to put down more power you would want more grip and less stretch. That to me just sounds like a win-win.
