it's actually my first time! I have been registering the past couple of years but was never accepted it will prob be the only show I will be going this year don't think I will make it to staggered, they put me working Friday Saturday and Sunday have no way to get the car ready

If you don’t mind sharing what was the overall cost for parts and labor for this swap? I’m actually thinking of holding off on any other performance part on my current 2.0 and when it finally takes a 💩 on me I may highly consider this route as opposed to another car note... feel free to PM me.

I’m not going to share the cost of labor, because I was hooked up and Agron asked me not to. It was partially because I believe the car is going to be sponsored by Driver Supply Co. but parts got pricey. Here’s everything I got for Stage 3, most of it wasn’t necessary. Parts included silicon hoses, clutch, Flywheel, k04 turbos, injectors, cf intake, bigger side mounts, all new trans, motor and diff mounts, Jhm shifter kit, 034 coil pack conversion kit, all new seals, gaskets and o rings on the motor, the motor itself, tune, custom wiring harness, and I’m sure there’s a lot more I didn’t rattle off in there

Parts for stage 3 alone cost me 10k, everything I listed before. I also did a lot of “unnecessary” things so to speak, like the carbon intake, and 034 coil pack conversion. So, I could’ve really done it for less than I did. But that being said, I wanted to just do the proper build and be done with it for good, I’m sick of not having a car.

If you wanted to do a k03 2.7t swap, with basic parts, I would say parts alone would be about 5-6k, maybe more.

You also have to factor in parting out your existing 2.0t or 3.2 build. People go bonkers for OEM and aftermarket engine support, so I was able to reclaim about 4-5k off of things that came off this car at some point or another.

As far as labor, i would say it depends on what you do to the car prior to dropping it off. I dropped my car off with a fully torn down motor in it, and he pulled it. Then Adam bought my stripped and seized short block off of me. Everything honestly worked out great for the part out part of this as well.

As far as a timeline, realistically if you were doing it alone, it would probably take like 2 maybe 3 months tops, if you’re taking your time. He admitted he didn’t always give as much attention as necessary to the build so it slid to the back burner, but whatever at this point. I’m so happy with the end result, I’m not going to have any bad blood with him

She’s not home just yet, I’m going to get it Monday as of now. But here’s some photos. Ignore the red wire in the intake, I have to take care of that when it’s home. The RS4 wheels are also temporary, they’re just on for the time being while the rotiforms are being rebuilt.

I’m going to have to baby it for at least 1000 miles because the clutch is new and all of the other things are new as well. But, I plan on borderline daily driving this car from March/April to October/November. Basically, when there’s not snow on the ground lol. In winter it’ll sit under a car cover in my garage, and I’ll drive my A3 that’s R32 powered (ignore the leaves)

Never had CF in the headlights. I wanted to, but the timing didn’t work out with it. Had I known the motor swap would go on for this long, i would’ve had them done with the handles

You have no idea lol. I want to do the check shaped piece in the headlight. And then a lot of interior things. Then build a nicer trunk setup with Carbon things. That’s all long term goals

Yeah I like how they came out. I still haven’t seen my car together in person, but I don’t think doing something like that headlight would hurt. If I could find that piece in general I’d probably buy it without thinking twice
