OP, curious if the thought of selling / parting out your A4 and just buying an actual B8.5 S4 crossed your mind?

Oh it has, but what would be the fun it that?

Honestly I think I'm done for a while on mods. I've spent too much this year on it. But they have been worth it and I don't have a need for a new car for a long time. I'd like an S6 or S7 next so I'll have to hold onto this for a while until my next career path is in order and solid.

Maybe I'll get lucky and sell it private party and get my moneys worth. You never know who will pay for the mods already done to it. I've had plenty of offers.

Ha, I'm sure you get that question all the time (def was not trying to pee in your cheerios) . Just wasn't sure if you pulled the trigger on a K04 yet hence why the reco for CPO B8.5 S4 as it checks most boxes (interior/exterior/power) in stock form.

lol, I know what you were getting at so no worries. Trust me, I want one really bad but these little upgrades costs a lot less than a new or newer S4, S6 or S7. I'd want new so that's why I'm waiting.

Yes on both questions. They are the same caliper for the S4's and are ran on almost all Audi models, even RS5.

lol, yeah I was thinking about a different color but I just went with black so they don't stick out as much. Plus the rear calipers and carriers are black so, the lazy way out.

I had everything apart on both sides and noticed the springs before I got too far.

No, because the stock A4 rotors aren't vented and are thinner. So I have to get new, wider springs to account for the vented rotor.

I've been thinking of pulling the trigger on ECS's stage 1 rear kit, but I'm holding off and waiting for your review when you finish. That's definitely a more cost-effective approach.

Love the new brakes! I've got a set of S4 front and rear calipers, but seeing this tempts me to just go with the ECS kit.
