2002 A4 VSS from ABS

You need 930G to get it all sorted out. Its too much work to convert a 930T to work especially without special tools. as 2 mcu's need to be ported over from one pcb to the other not something you want to mess with if you dont have the right tools.

Yes, but would it help with cruise when adapting 930T cluster from 900E? I guess this wire is just needed for vehicle speed in cluster needle?

it can always be done but the vehicle is getting a speed signal without the wire being run. Issue being cruise does not work as that cluster is not compatible.

Just a thought, I don't think the cluster is the reason for cruise not working (for those who edited their cluster to get speed from CAN rather than from a speed sensor or from a pin on the ABS module). Rather, the ECU, which normally gets its speed signal from the cluster, needs to be flashed ALSO to get speed over CAN. VW clusters also have a bit that can be changed to get speed over CAN, and unless the ECU is also flashed to get speed over CAN, cruise will not work.

Need to look at Map in ECU to check what its reading. The map you need is called CWGGVFZG based on what its set for:
0 is vss
1 is can or vss
2 is can only

The ecu needs to see a certain mph and engine speed in order for cruise to work it has tables that it looks at to determine which gear the vehicle is in. You need to log or look at map nvquot in the ecu. Everytime I had a issue its always been a cluster never a ecu.

If anyone needs to buy the terminal that goes into the ABS module, it's a Micro Timer 2 socket terminal. I found a pack of 10 for pretty cheap on ebay. Thought I'd throw it out there since I spent quite a bit of time trying to find it.

After change cluster from 930G to 930TX cruise control don't work.
Speed on cluster its ok.
ECU don't see car speed.
Cables from cluster to ECU are good.

Its possible to just connect ECU to ABS? (pin from cluster put to abs speed signal)

I highly doubt that as b7 is rb8 immo4 dash with 12 byte crypt id vs the 7byte crypt id that rb4/rb8 immo3 clusters use.

There are 2 options:
- turn off the immobilizer in the ecu
- change ecu to one from B7

and cluster from B7 still work in B6.

I somehow put the 2003 cluster into my 2001 Audi without any problems. Immobilizer, speed, everything works except cruise control.
But after changing the parameter in the ECU, everything works fine.

2003 cluster and 2001 cluster are both rb4 immo3 there fore they will work. B7 is different story. I'm sure the hazards we're going off because of vin difference in dash vs ecu. They cannot be married together. You may be able to add key manually but with vin difference hazards probably still flashing.

Can someone please explain/confirm what needs to be done?

Does the ABS pump have the VSS on pin #33? so I need to open up the car-side connector that goes into the ABS pump and add a corresponding pin for #33 like this?



Does this wire then need to go to the IC like in the following pic? is there no pin there originally or do I just make a T joint?
