Thank you! The trim I wrapped was brushed aluminum as well. I bought it from a member here specifically for my wrap project. When I saw it in person, I actually liked how it looked so much that I was debating not wrapping it at all lol. It makes for a much cleaner job than wrapping the fishscale (which is currently on my car) tho.
With the fishscale, you can see the texture of the trim showing through the wrap. Not cool imo.

Looking great Danny! I swear, in a couple of the pictures it looks like the wrap is a woven cloth. Crazy, I know, but it still looks incredible. I hope you have some before-and-after shots so we can see side-by-side. It'll help sway me for what samples I want to snag over the summer!

Thanks man!! I love how this vinyl looks in person. The pics don't do it justice. It does have the brushed aluminum texture built into the vinyl. It's pretty cool.

As for samples, just order a bunch. They're only $.99 cents each and you can see how they stick, stretch and look first hand. I ordered 10.

I only took a couple iPhone pics and they don't really capture the two trims all that well. I can assure you that it is a drastic improvement though.

Trim is all done! Id say in total it took about 6 - 7 hours. Heres a link to the vinyl that I used. I also bought a bunch of tools to do the job as well.
All together I spent around $220 on vinyl/tools and $125 for the extra set of trim to wrap. Sure it would have been cheaper to bring it to a vinyl shop but whats the fun in that?

Thanks!! I bought a 5' x 5' piece. I think I have like 5' x 1' or 2' left. It's still on the roll so it's hard to tell.

I got most of everything(including the heat hun) from metrorestyling.com

I got two things from geekwraps.com

I would highly suggest picking those up.

Are you ordering the same one that I used? It has a nice stretch to it and it's easy to work with. Just gotta heat it a little bit.

I decided to wrap my new steering wheel to match the new trim. What a total pain in the ass it was to get this thing done right. I screwed it up 3 times, and on the 4th try it took me 2 hours to do. It's not perfect, but it's really good.

You can drill out the rubber insert on the ashtray lid to remove it, same thing with the two chrome accents just dont drill too far. You wrap, put them back and apply epoxy under to make them hold again. This way you retain the oem look.

Thanks for the tip! I would have liked to get those chrome accent pieces wrapped a little better. Thats the only part of the trim that kinda bothers me. Not enough to re-do it though (yet) .

Looks like I pulled the trigger a bit early on this mod, as I'll be selling my 05 B7 sedan. I'm picking up a white B7 with piano black trim, and I don't think I'll be wrapping that.... but who knows, maybe I'll get a 2nd set and wrap it to give a bit of contrast..

Danny - looks like your shift knob is plain leather and not the "air leather" that SLINEs normally get. If you want/need an air leather shift knob, I should have one becoming available.
