S-line stock suspension sag in rear

Guest-only advertisement. Register or Log In now!
I searched around and couldnt find anything but I feel like I have seen it talked about before here (possibly a few years back). I have always noticed it on my car but In the recent months it has started to bother me and when I take a pic of my car its all I see haha. I dont really notice it any more or less when I load the car with stuff or it is empty. It just seems to always have a slight sag in the rear.

Does anyone else experience this and if so did you find a solution?

My car has the same issue..

I have replacement springs (Eibach Pro-Kit) awaiting installation to try and remedy the issue.

Always Be Closing. The ABC's of sales.

OP-take a GTF measurement and see how far off spec it is. You may need springs but I would replace the upper and lower spring pads first.

Are you comparing the rear sag to the front wheel gap?
Stock s line suspension will have a larger front wheel gap.

B5 spring perches for the front is what's been recommended to me.

I keep reading this, yet I haven't looked into it yet. I don't know if I want to go coilover, but I may. If I don't, I wanted to look into B5 perches because I can get em for pretty cheap.

It should lower the front by about .5 inches.

I almost feel like buying springs or coils, but I wonder if it is really necessary. I've had coilovers on all my cars lol. Idk, we'll see how summer goes.

I swear almost every vehicle I've ever had has had this problem to a certain extent and it's always absolutely bugged the shit out of me so I feel your pain. Nothing looks better than perfect matching front and rear wheel gap!

I don't think a B5 perch will correct that much reverse rake. As stated they give you 1/2" so you'll have to measure your FTG to see what you're dealing with.

I have heard of a spacer to add height to the rear, but who wants to add height

If you're as picky as me you're going to have to get coils. Even springs will leave the reverse rake. I've never been happier than with coils!

I was gonna say... Looks more like the B5 perch problem rather than actual sag in the rear.

I found mine in the classifieds. Just find someone who's parting out any B5 A4/S4 and ask them. Or you can buy new but they're like $50-60 each

FYI they only work with oem sized shock tubes. The koni and bilstein shocks for example are larger diameter and come with their own spring perch at the oem height.

I had a reverse rake on my Avant (with sport suspension) so went with the B5 perch plates - looked a lot better as it even it out. Its a cheap fix for sure.. i had it for 6 months and just had ST coilovers installed.

    it's not a screw up.

even a custom race suspension will have the front sitting higher than the rear. The front of the car needs more suspension travel than the rear does so the front should be sitting higher.

The front doesn't actually sit higher, its a visual illusion because the front fenders are a tad higher than the rears. Or something like that. The chassis sits flat, but the front looks higher visually.

Also this racekor doesn't appear to sit higher...
