Wrong Turbo Inlet? Just tried installing my new Forge TIP

^^I just recently received that, and according to ECS, that pipe will fit "Up to VIN 8E-3-500000, split is in the 2003 model year." Well, my VIN so happens to be 8E-3-233103, and it doesn't fit. My OEM Turbo Inlet has 5 ports, with the missing port being one at the top, closest to where the airbox would be. So what seems to be the deal? Does ECS have this turbo inlet listed incorrectly? I also just noticed old guy's frankenturbo thread mentioning 2003 having the 5 port setup (http://www.audizine.com/forum/showth...L-Installation).

Based off of looking at the pictures, this is the TIP that I should have received instead:

Wouldn't surprise me if ECS messed up. They seem to send the wrong parts out ALOT. Did it to me, and many others. But people keep giving them money :(

Correct me if I'm wrong but your VIN isn't 8E-3, its 8E-7

And the vultures sweep in for the kill. Haha. Might be a better option, considering restocking fees (don't know what they charge).

I have an aluminum O.ct TIP that will fit your 5 port 2003. Or you can simply T two lines together as suggested earlier.

They said that my car is right in the middle of the VIN split, and that "there isn't any way of knowing which side of the split I'm on, so I've got the 5 nipple one on it's way (free shipping). Sending back the wrong one today.

Yea, obviously it doesn't help now but the easiest way to have known would be to just look at the TIP installed on the car previously. Nonetheless ECS saves the day.

Based on your VIN code, I would of ordered the 5port. As stated above by S4Phantom.
