034 billet drop in fuel pump review?

Is there any extra wiring needed?
Did you fine that your stock lines restrict the flow?

No extra wire needed. Uses same wire and just crimp. Stock lines is fine.

I have the 040 and made a diy guide for installing. It's in the "submit new diy" section.

This will be helpful. Did you think about increasing the gauge of the wire to the pump? Have you had any issues will not havering enough to power to the pump (aka cutting out under heavy load etc)

There's no need to increase wire size, and there is plenty of fuel available for my sub 300awhp

Most folks choose the 044 pump, as they flow more than the 040 and are a very commonly-used fueling upgrade in the automotive aftermarket.

That being said, if you're on a budget, we also have 39mm pump adapters:

Billet Drop-In Fuel Pump Adapter Kit, 39mm, AEM, Aeromotive, Walbro

They can be used with the AEM 39mm and Aeromotive 39mm fuel pump upgrades, and other 39mm aftermarket pumps. Many people use those pumps, and they flow a lot for their price point.

    Hope that helps!

Been running the 044 034MS drop in kit for a while now (picked up used). And I have a friend who is running the 034 adapter for the 044 (I suggested this to him, as he maxed out the Walbro 255). Both work fine.

Wire gauge does not have to do with voltage, but amperage. Stock wiring is just fine. I am also using an OEM BMW check valve on the in tank line from pump to the fuel lid.
I hate it when my car acts like a little bitch, treating me like a bitch

Either of the 034 kits will work, the drop-in kit with the basket is less work since it already comes ready to put in while the billet kits you have to take your stock basket apart once you have removed it from your tank. Been running the 044 drop-in basket kit from 034 in my A4 for a long time, basically the first kit was made for my A4.

When possible it is best to run 1 single pump, adding a inline pump just increases the chance of your car running lean if the inline pump fails.

What power levels did he max out the Walbro at? I'm trying to figure out what would be best for a 350-400awhp setup
