Need to trick the fog lights!

I have swapped a 2.7t into my B6 and I have decided not to fit the fog lights in order to increase air flow to the side mounts. As the fog lights are not connected I am obviously throwing a code on the dash display. Does anyone no a way to trick it into thinking the fog lights are connected? Or to "code them out"?

How about putting a resistor inline where the fogs were? Like the ones you have to get when you switch to LED.
