    Wet driver side floor

I noticed a rotten banana smell the other day in my car. Its not very strong, but is noticeable. I checked the floor and the driver side is soaked. Sunroof drains appear clear and I have not checked the plenum drain in the engine bay. I searched and saw one guy find out it had something to do with the a/c drain or something? Not much else came up in the search. Anyone else run across this issue? I plan to check the front drains after work today and dry out the floor as best I can.

    Thanks folks!

Not that I can tell. I think if were coolant the smell would be stronger. Hoping its just the drains in the engine bay. Other than that, I am stumped.

Years back, when I had an S-Line B7 A4...I had a similar problem in my passenger floor well. Only different was there was about 2 inches of standing water that would slosh back and forth when driving. It was an A/C drain. But this is a whole different thing since yours is in the drivers side...I assume.

I am pretty sure I figured it out its the ecu box. I removed some leaves and junk, but there wasn't a whole lot. Take a look at the seal, looks shot to me. There was even a small stick in the damn thing! No idea how that got in there. I think I am going to order the part and hope it clears up the issue. Plan to hit the brake cylinder area with some compressed air at work tomorrow.
