    Opinion to my new setup

Guest-only advertisement. Register or Log In now!
    Hello everyone

I am thinking to go with F21 turbo, their manifold and TIP; 3" VR6, CXRacing FMIC and maybe 034 HFC test pipe (stock DV). The bad part is that I already have GIAC chip with 380cc and I am only planning to upgrady it to K04 file cuz it is cheaper for me. I am thinking that if I will not go with motoza and 550s my car will last longer with that setup.
    1. What do you guys think about that setup together?
    2. I thinking to get this inter cooler. Is there any difference between this one? Would you recommend something better in that price? I do not want SMIC and I would love to keep my fog lights.
    3. I have huge problem with heat. Would the 3" 034 HFC helped me a lot with it? Would that be a problem if I would just connect it to a 2.5" downpipe? Maybe sth different?

Please leave any comments, suggestions to my setup. I do not want to make another mistake.

My car: 2004 Audi A4 B6 AMB 1.8T USP AWD @ AWE exhaust, carbonio, GIAC.

    Thank You

The treadstone intercooler is a better option, then get some pipes off eBay.

not running the optimal software for your setup isn't a good plan when longevity is the goal.

get the proper software, a decent FMIC (TR18T), a HFC (test pipes are bad for everyone), and upgraded 710N DV (why would you cheap out there?).

Looks like it would be the same price for that inter cooler with piping. Whould THAT piping going to be a good fit? I really like to use my fog lights.
I am trying to convince myself to go all the way to motoza +550cc. But that means no HFC for now. Is that DV from franken turbo enough for that chip or i still need to upgrade different components (engine).

you don't need too but its not going to hurt, I have these on the 2.7 and one on my 1.8t, just grease them every now and again never need another one.

Looks like I gonna get new DV as well. What about that 3" high flow cat from 034 motorsport? Is that going to be OK if I will bolt it to 2.5" downpipe? I did not find a lot of comparable HFC for B6.

Go with the 034 HFC, you will not regret it. I have a test pipe and after a year of stinking up the cabin "at idle" decided it was time for a HFC. Do it right the first time, don't make the same mistake I did.

I have to agree I am just about there. Have had my test pipe and tune for almost 4 months and it does smell pretty bad sometimes...
Personally I am probably going to wait for the APR spring sale to buy their 3" downpipe section (B8 A4), it seems to be the most complete kit from what I have researched but for your B6, 034 seems to have good build quality from my experience.

I will look for some kind of adapter so I can have smooth connection between 3"HFC and 2.5" downpipe.

Could you guys find the right piping for that intercooler? I am thinking to get this one but I am not sure what pipes do I need. I need "someone who did it before"'s opinion. Fog lights are important to me.
