It sure does! Check out the picture in the advertisement more closely. You'll see there are mounting tabs in the lower corners of the grille.

Only information I have regarding SQ5 fitment is below.

"Fits Facelift (2013+) models with standard bumpers". We don't have an SQ5 to test fit this grille, that being said if the SQ5 grille fits the standard Q5 grille it should work, if it doesn't it will not obviously.

Rings are not included as you will reuse your rings from your factory grille.

Sorry to poop on your party, but why wouldn't we just jump on that $250 group buy? They are exactly the same.

The lower support portion of the grill will have to be cut off in order to fit S-line or SQ5 bumpers.
There are many detailed threads regarding the installation of these.

Does anyone have a link for just the North American license plate bracket for these grills? I ordered an rsq5 grill and only got the euro plate. I don't want to just zip tie it. I would love not to hav a plate on but not allowed here.

Chances are they aren't following map pricing. Which only allows you to sell a specific part for only so low. Not to mention the fact that they include rings they could get dinged by Audi. Audi is the only company allowed to legally sell/reproduce copy righted and trade marked items such as the rings. This is why we can't include them in the grilles we sell unless it's a Genuine part.

I'm really interested, but it sounds like I lose twice. Jason, can you confirm...

    No S-Line fitment?

    No NA license plate mount?

Thanks in advance. Barring those two things.....this is the first time I've really been tempted by something like this. Wah!

I see that the rings are shown in the pictures on the group buy thread however I really doubt they come with it. Not really sure why you would need two sets of rings anyway. That being said, yes this is available cheaper but some people like to pay more for items when they know the seller they are buying from. We are buying from a dealer in China which obviously could offer no help if items are damaged or incorrectly shipped. Anyway, good luck with the sales. I am sure you will get plenty.

S-line model Q5's use the same bumper as the SQ5 and from what I am hearing grilles meant for standard Q5 bumpers will not fit the SQ5 bumper with out some modification.

The filler plate included can be used to mount a euro plate or a US plate. You would just need to drill holes into it to mount the US plate.

It doesn't include a filler plate to directly fit a US plate unfortunately.

Jason, I'm grateful for the feedback. Looks like I'll have to pass on this one, barring feedback from any folks with the same model Q I've got. I still fall prey to the occasional mod whim, but I'm past the point of having to mod my mods for them to fit.

Intriguing nonetheless, and I'd love to see some pics of folks running this one. The one styling cue on my Q that I really don't like is, indeed, the grille. Very 'Old Man in a Buick'. Wah. :)

    Understandable.

The other option you have that would give your Q5 a sportier look and not so "Old Man In A Buick" is the black optics grille from the SQ5. This would be a direct fit no modifications needed. It's a little more expensive but you have to pay to play when it comes to Genuine Audi parts.

No offense, and not to be a jerk, but from your own website: *If fitting to a Q5 bumper, modifications may be necessary and the front parking sensors will need to be relocated, if applicable.
I've been back-of-mind contemplating a different grille since about three hours after buying this Q (my '12 had S Line + and boy howdy do I miss the blacked out look). The grille you've listed in this thread is the closest I've seen to something that look good and fit. Oh well...no harm, no foul.

You have an S-line Q5. There for it uses the same bumper as the SQ5. So SQ5 grilles should install no problem. It's only if you have a standard bumper that you would need to modify the SQ5 grille to fit.

Wont deny that Plasti-Dip is nice budget friendly removable option. But typically when you do black it comes out matte black. Which might not suit everyone's tastes. Even with the glossifer it's more of a gloss grey than gloss black.

What is the purpose of the giant hole in the center of the grille? I've seen this on a few.. mine does not have it. If you're not running a front plate, wont this look a little weird?

No idea. Could be for when you mount the front plate bracket? About the only thing I could come up with.

Yep. Folks who love it - right on. I don't. And the effort to address the window trim and front fog light surounds, as well as the roof rack and grille....I'd never be happy with the results. This particular grille struck a chord. The chrome surround and black center works well with the OEM look. I hope ECS sells a bunch.

No doubt! We are always looking for new product to bring in, an RS style mesh grille that fits S-line/SQ5 is definitely something we'll keep an eye out for in the future.
