    is the 2002 timing belt change different than the other years

    front end is removed. Removed the upper timing belt cover. Noticed on the damper and bottom cover there is timing marks. Do I go TDC at this point or just remove the damper and wait to do TDC when cover is off?
    Also noticed my camshaft seal has a leak. What your you guys doing to replace this?

    reason I ask. the DIY on here doesn't say to go TDC before removing the Damper.

    Set it to TDC before you start taking things apart.

    It's different from the '03 because it was made a year earlier..

    Always TDC your vehicle on TB changes.

    thanks guys. I know it was a dumb question but never did this before. I found another diy that said TDC before damper removal. that's what I did made since anyway. Someone needs to fix the diy in the tech section says nothing about TDC before removing the damper.

    Now anyone have a writeup on cam seal replacement? have a small leak.

    Which cam is leaking?

    leaking behind the camshaft pulley.
